No, thanks for sharing, this is what I found. (I will have to study this further. I wonder if it ties in with Nephilim, mentioned in Genesis, and Greek Mythology.)

In 1976, a scholar translating ancient Sumerian cuneiform texts published the first of his books, The 12th Planet. Zecharia Sitchin described the technological wonders and knowledge of the ancient civilization of Sumeria. What made his work controversial was that he claimed that the Sumerians were aided in starting their civilization by an advanced race of beings called the Anunnaki (Sumerian for ‘those who came from Heaven to Earth’). He described technological wonders possessed by the Anunnaki, and a factional war between the Anunnaki who finally departed the planet around 1700 BC. Furthermore, Sitchin described the home world of these beings as a mysterious planet that periodically returns to the vicinity of the solar system every 3,600 years. Sitchin’s translations, when combined with biblical and historical records supporting the existence of ET races in human affairs, made clear the important role by this ancient ET race in the genesis of humanity. Sitchin’s translations proved to be very controversial and mainstream archaeologists dismissed the work as too speculative. However, there were very influential clandestine organizations that took Sitchin’s work much more seriously.

edit: 1700 BC, this would be around the time of Noah and the Flood?

edit2: my conclusion is the goverment is hiding discoveries. This does not surprise me. The do not trust the "people" with knowledge, because it leads to power, so it is said.

Quiet.Buck hit the nail on the head.

The Bible's my favorite book EVER, but I read other books as well. I'll even go for the dictionary! Lol.

"Evolution for Dummies"? I can understand the concept without reading that.

Now, now, what makes you think that all Christians like romance novels? That's the weirdest generalization I've come across so far...

What I've noticed is that your question is insulting. I'm sure that not ALL atheists know what the Annunakis are, either. Just because not all of us knew about it, how is that supposed to mean we're ignorant, as you've implied?

Ezekiel of the Bible had a vision of them - they are the "elohim" of our Old Testament, which is a much later version of the same story in Sumerian.

Anunaki = "gods" in Sumerian.

Elohim = "gods" in Hebrew.

The Sumerian evolution story (on clay tablets) predates the Bible creation story (on manyscript) by over 4000 years.

The Sumerians held that man came into being from matings of Anunaki with a subhuman (monkey?) species, thousands of years before the Sumerians.

The Annunaki were not originally from Earth.

Fellow Christians, I do suggest Ezekiel 1 as some required reading - it is very interesting.

I am a Christian. I read all sorts of books(not romance books or Danielle Steel). I've never read the entire Bible. I believe in evolution. I have never heard the word Annunakis until now. I hope that helps.

So what are the Annunakis? I've read the bible once in a while and no I don't read boring a.ss romance books. What are you getting at? Books on evolution would probably put me to sleep.

I have a pretty solid background in evolutionary studies, but have never heard of Annunakis I checked Google and about all I got was a bunch of MySpace pages about some music band.

Many of the Christians I know personally are university grads (as I am) and have read plenty of books besides the Bible.

Glad to have a rational conversational about this as it does pertain to my studies along with Native Indians and how they link to the Danites, remnants of Sumerians and Atlantians. And I am a minister even.

But it is clear you do not seek answers, but just wish to toss words in attempts to hurt others. This is not an item I partake in.

When you care to actually learn or hear a responsible answer, post a polite question. Then you might gain more wisdom than you currently hold. For life is but a classroom. Once you forget that, you stop learning.

the instructor of my faith type says he's a Christian and he's conscious approximately different religions. yet he sits up there and is going on approximately how those poor little Christians have been picked on, overwhelmed and tortured via the Romans yet neglects to show the centuries of abuse others had to go through as quickly as the Romans embraced Christianity and desperate to unfold; he speaks of Paul having a ingenious and prescient of Christ and that Paul replaced into informed he replaced into attacking him, no longer purely the Christians, yet he neglects to work out that Jesus on no account bothered to seem to Nero or Caligula or perhaps Hitler or maximum of different leaders of inhumane activities; he regarded that the unique authors of the gospels at the instant are not wide-unfold yet says that there is not any reason to question their authenticity (eye roll) it variety of looks like that form of denial is a psychosis of a few form. Edit: Truth4wo..., 'at present'?! lol i do no longer think of maximum Christians do and people who declare different-smart are probable like my instructor...neglecting to renowned a brilliant form of historic past...it probable has to do with the ought to think of there's a 'father discern' which will preserve them, no count what (eye roll)

I'm certain some would find the notion of space entities to be preposterous.

called confirmation bias or discounting

you're suggesting that if 'C's" were to be exposed to something other than a bible, then some would have more than one source from which to draw their opinions.

at least you've introduced a subject that was previously unknown to some .
