Have you tried to ask your father/dad to explain to you why he feels he must leave you behind. Have you asked him to explain why he must go and for what reason. Ask him if he can be honest with you. Tell him you are trying to understand his decision. Tell him how you feel. TALK!!!!!!!!!

Very sad to say that if your Dad truly loves you, he would not be leaving you at the age of 13 and wandered off to another country. His action and the consequences of it simply do not show that he has any concern for his immediate family. Basicaaly he is making up his mind to go and leave you behind to fend for yourself. He is putting his own needs and his wants ahead of others. I am sorry to be so blunt about it but I cannot resist drawing that conclusion. There is nothing you can do at your age. That is the saddest part of life - when adults who ought to be responsible fail to relaise that their action hurts and leave behind others to sort out the mess. But much as you cannot persuade your Dad, you have to be strong. While it is not the best os situation, many and many children grew up on their own and succeeded. I just read of a man who was left behind by their parents and he had to live in foster homes, that boy grew up and succeed to be a wealthy businessman. He is now standing for election to be a minister of a country. You are 13 and there is a long road to go - strive to be happy and know that you will work it out for yourself. Good Luck

i think your father should've considered the welfare of your whole family and not only of his own comfort...when a person has a family, he has to consider everyone else before making a decision...i think your whole family should talk about your current situation and find a solution as a family...if you want your family to remain complete...maybe your mom and your siblings should go with him...this on the other hand would mean that you and the rest will have to sacrifice in order to keep your family together...

Dont misunderstand him may be he has some problems which needs some time 2 b solved.He is going away 4 sometime try to think about something else try forget to think about him so frequently, keep ur self engaged in something else.

Maybe u can talk to him and tell him how u feel, but if he still wants to go then let him and don't feel bad he is the one making a big mistake. He will find out later on.

That is so sad. I am so sorry that you have to experience that. Just tell your dad that you love him, and ask him to keep in close contact with you. Tell him that you are going to need his love and advice now that you are a teenager.
