Panda is usually a name for a type of syrian, but not always. Even if they are the same species (syrian/syrian) they should not be kept together as they are a solitary species. If the other is a Russian dwarf and they are different sexes, I also would not, because interbreeding would produce screwed up babies. So, no it is not a good idea to keep a syrian together with any other hamster.

Panda bears are syrian hamsters. the poor syrian has so many silly nicknames and this is one of them. its because the syrian now comes in so many colours, textures and patterns that each one gets stuck with a silly name.

Syrian hamsters can never be kept in the same cage together. They are fiercly territorial and will fight to the death if another hamster is placed in the same cage as them.

Just going to echo the above.

Panda, like most others, are just actually names refering to the colours of different syrians.. They will fight with one another if housed together, usually to the death. In big environments, they do sometimes live together in harmony.. but that is risky, in truth.

Keep them alone, and they'll be fine.

From what I've read about hamsters, littermates make the best cagemates. You can check with a reputable pet store, but if the two were never littermates, it's highly likely you will end up with a couple of hamsters constantly fighting (territorial fighting). In some cases, the stronger hamster has been known to seriously injure the weaker one enough to kill it.
