so i cant question the bible (but it has net been proven to me)
I cannont talk about theories (as if there was absolutely nothing to back them up)
I cant be rational
i guess i can only answer this question with questions:
why can i not question the bible? were you around when it was written?
have you ever seen god?
where did god come from? mayeb he did create everything.. but what created him?
how is it that people can be broken down to dna and cells and it is shown how we are made up from those step by step?
How is it if GOd does exist that things like cancer can take a beautiful little innocent child away from his family?
I think people see this amazing world and the most logical to some people is to say it is created by god.. okay simple enough... but how? Why?
where did god get the "ingredients" to make a tree?
How is it that if you are sick and just sit and pray and do nothing else you probably wont get better... but if you take medicine or see a doctor (all science) you will more than likely get better????
If God made everything then why isnt everyone christian and believe in God? what is it that makes other religions and other countries believe something else? How can people be so sure that the bible is the one and only true "book". Why dont for instance.... muslims have the same book- the bible? why werent they all issued copies back in the day?
i could go on and on......

You've just said it... you don't want to hear it.
I look around the world and I marvel at it -- too much to believe that an ancient, cruel warmonger stuck it all together out of clay over a weekend creation spree.
There is too much elegance and complexity in this universe for simple myths, now when science can shed light on trillions of stars in a universe that is over 14 billion years old. In the Dark Ages, people thought everything revolved around the world, including the stars. They were also focused on prayer when the plague wiped out 1/4 of Europe. Without science or reason, they were blinded by their faith.
Same with creationists today. There is evidence for evolution and common descent, yet many American Christians still think the earth is under 10,000 years old because a larger, vaster, and more elegant universe is difficult to rectify with bronze age stories. There's a different in feeling something and proving it. I find no evidence for a god, but plenty of evidence for an extraordinary world. Why should I wear blinders?

Enchanted Gypsy hit the nail right on the head. Clearly the OP is asking why not everyone believes in the CHRISTIAN God, which is kind of rude in a way. Some people believe in a different God or Goddess or philosophy. I could counter Christianity is no more valid than believing in the Easter Bunny. Also, I sometimes attend Zen meditation which far pre-dates Christian, Islam or Judaism. Perhaps Zen is correct and everything else is baloney? Or maybe the even older Egyptian Gods / Goddesses are true and all others are baloney.
It boils down to that people should be allowed to believe in (or not believe in) whatever is right for them.

If you mean that we can look around and see the eveidence of design with our own eyes and that all this cannot have happened by chance it had to have a creator, then I would tend to agree.
However, whether that is a 'God' that has to be worshipped and we MUST live our lives in accordance with a set of rules purported to be dictated by that 'God' is always open for debate.
I would counter by saying look around you. There are millions of ppl on this earth who do hold that belief or some other belief in a supreme being, and they hold that belief so firmly that if anyone challenges it they would be prepared to kill for it.
So whether or not there is a 'grand designer' is irrelevant, we are too busy trying to stave of the attacks of the ppl who are trying to kill us because they believe there is, and they've let it take over their entire consciousness to the point where they are no longer capable of rational thought.
So I would say how can you believe that it's worth your time and effort even thinking about this when you can look around you and see what the end product of this type of thinking becomes?

lol inaccuracies exist in bible no matter how you wish to twist it .
by denying to hear about inaccuracies as a reason would be asking someone to answer 1 +1 , and then telling the same person you do not wish hear 2 as the answer.
true , god and everything else could exist . that doesnt necessary meant a biblical god.
we give real decent answers as replies , we give our point of view , yet there are some %#&!^ who kept insist we are blind by demons and other craps . and hey guess what , it's also these people why we turn away from chrisitanity and eventually god , and look who is the real culprit . the insensitive guy who give illogical , insensitive and rude remarks or satan?

I don't think of God at all, except on this site when I am answering the questions of theists. I see the world as being the product of no less miraculous forces, but far more explicable ones than 'an intelligent designer'. I see a world that is a triumph of design but subject to the forces that shape all life - evolutionary pressure.
I simply have no logical need to believe in God. I don't see that many gaps that require filling in that way.

People will live and die according to the definitons of their reality. Some have/use a god form; some don't. That is just the way it is.
There are some people that will see and experience their reality based upon the concepts/defintions given to them by a religion. Other people will see and experience their reality and define it for themselves. It the classic debate between the Orthodox (the way made straight) and the Heresy (Free Thinking).
Sounds like you are clinging to YOUR orthodoxy, all the concepts/defintions/idols too much, dear. All this 'god this' and 'god that'. HE does this and HE does that. Isn't YOUR god supposed to be EVERYWHERE?!? If another person isn't seen IT, then is it EVERYWHERE?!?
One verse, I've always liked is exodus 4:11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?

I am a Christian, i believe in God, however i respect the beliefs of everyone else. Every explanation there is to either prove that God exists or not has it's flaws. Just live with the fact that not everyone will believe as you do. People believe what they believe for their own reasons, leave it at that. You believe in god because you just do and you have your own reasons as well. The world would be a much better place if we all just stopped questioning people about why they dont believe the same as you do. No one has all the answers, everything is flawed, so it's just up to everyone to choose for themselves what they want to believe in.

This inability to empathize with people, to see it from the other side, is a key element in today's problems. For example, do you understand that I HAVE looked at the world, and I still don't believe in God? That I think you are as deluded as you think I am? All I'm asking is a minuscule bit of respect or, failing that, at least acceptance that I can believe something different than you. In fact, most of the world believes something different than what you believe.

Someone cannot believe in god by having informed and honest parents who don't fill their young minds with divisive and bigoted religious clap trap, and be given the opportunity to also see the world through the eyes of mainstream science, where the greatest wealth of knowledge about the natural world resides..
Simple really...
