The answer will be lets c and take time to get to meet coz u never know who the people are, if u feel the ones u met were genuine and good people then yea sure enuf u can go and meet but had it been me I'd certainly wait for some time to go by before deciding on meeting. I've met 2 of my chat friends but after a year I spoke with them, thats one important thing one shud do try and get to know how the people really are.

So a decent enuf answer without hurting them will be, " Oh we've just met online lets wait for some more time till we can come up with a plan, and I'm truly flattered but I'm not the one to jump at a moments notice, I take time to warm up buddy :D"

lol wat u think :D I don't know it's like total risk at times, meeting people and finding them show a Dr. Jykll and Mr. Hyde persona lol

I haven't ever heard of "facebook", but I can tell you what my reaction was when I met a guy on a dating site. We sent messages back and forth for a couple of days. So much so that we were sending IM's to each other at least the biggest part of a day (24-hour period). during those IM conversations, we talked about meeting each other, keep in mind, I hadn't posted a pic of me, so he still didn't know what I looked like, even though I had seen one of him. Then, he ask for my phone number, and I gave it to him. After we had started talking, sending messages, and talking on the phone, we decided to meet up and go out that weekend. That was only 5 days after the first email had been sent.(which was by me telling him how sexy he was). Up until the night before, I hadn't sent him any pics, but he said it didn't matter anyway he was still gonna come. And that is exactly what he did. We spent all weekend together, and have been together ever since. CRAZY?
Here is the deal. While we were chatting and talking on the phone, it wasn't like we were strangers. It was really odd. I was as comfortable talking to him and telling him things and being myself with him, as I was my previous husband, except with this guy, I don't have to walk on eggshells. I am so glad that I did what I did though. This guy is perfect, almost!
My opinion is....you do what you feel is right. We all have our "gutt feelings about things, and I think you should for the most part trust them. And, if you aren't comlpetely comfortable just yet, tell im that. Don't do anything that you aren't comfortable with. But, most important! Honesty! you have to be honest, be yourself.

Hope this helped! and like I said, don't do anything that you aren't comfortable with!

I would think that person is a psycho or a loser. Probably that person even has some Sexually Transmitted Disease.

I read about a young guy that got into the same situation you described, he accepted the date an went to meet the girl, when he got to her house he found out the girl was another young guy but it was too late he got murdered on the spot and the psycho got rid of the body before his own parents returned home. Creepy but true.

If you like this person and you want some type of online committed relationship why not say yes, and it's a situation where you are going to meet and haven't and you feel like you want to wait, then let the person know, honesty is the best policy.

i would not even bother to have a reaction to it... its crazy, they can only ask you out if they have atleast met you! there are weird people out there, and someone who asks you out on the net without meeting you clearly has issues, meet up first maybe (be safe about it) and then decide

i wouldn't even accept if a person asked me out on the phone or im. i believe that in order to ask someone out you need to be with them in person

i'd say no. i mean, i don't know the person. to know them, you need more than facebook.
