Do you always tell someone that you like them? Even if they might not like you back?

Yes, you do. Old saying is a coward dies a thousand deaths, but a brave man dies but once. when I was younger, I was alwasy afraid of rejection and I can't tell you how many times I played that "reading into stuff game" that we all play. I lost countless years on people who would never love me and lost opportunities on people who might. You only get one time at life. Don't waste it trying to figure out if a person cares, likes, or even loves you. You will go crazy and spend time on people who don't deserve your time if they don't feel the same way. By being honest with yourself and someone else, be prepared for all answers and respect them. You can NOT make a person like or love you. Stay true to yourself and enjoy who you are, and you will find out in time, that a person who you like will come to you and you will both be in a loving adult honest relationship that is fulfilling to both of you. I did this, and, after a long time, met a person that I truly love and she loves me back. It takes time and honesty. Good luck.

I wouldn't tell them right out that I like them - it's really awkward for both of you if the feeling isn't mutual.

A better approach is to just strike up a conversation with them every so often about something they appear to be interested in (you may need to do your homework before you start talking about it). You can tell by their attitude and actions whether the feeling is mutual.

If you already have mutual interests with the other person, they might not know about it until you start talking about those interests. People naturally like to hang out with people that share their interests.

Yes, you should. But brace yourself for all the possible outcomes. Dont waste time trying to hide feelings, they just jump out anyway, and usually after being supressed they have an almost volatile explosive arrival...so lay your cards on the table, I am guessing you have got a 50/50 chance :) Take Care.-Rachel.

I think that if we like someone, it is good that you can tell them at least you can make them feel good. You know, we like them , we did not hate them .So we should not hide it.It is not use.And later you will never regret.If you dont tell them , next time you will feel regret.Life if too sort, so just do what you want to do. Sometime , you think that they dont like you but in fact they like you.So it is good that you can tell them.Sometime you cant not get good respond soon,but may be later that person will like you back.......

I try and befriend them first. Then I see what happens from there, and depending on how befriending them went, I either will or will not tell them.

well...i did recemtly. too bad for me. i got rejected. the guy doesnt feel the same way but at least i said it. yeah, it hurts but i'm feeling okay now. i know i will move on eventually. everyone does. most important thing is, at least we try.
