I see a lot of Christian and Bible bashing going on. Is this done because you want to irritate a Christian? Is it done just to devalue, question the authonticity, truth, history, and meaning in the Bible? Q. Is this done just against Christians and the Bible? Or, is it intended against ALL faiths and all major religions? Do you reject the Islamic faith? Was Allah/Muhammad fabricared & not who and what claimed to be? Do you reject the Muslem faith like you reject Christianity? If so, why don't we see much of that going on? Looks like it's about 10 Christian bashing to 1 of other faiths. Why? Are you AFRAID of something? Why is Jesus the FSM and no such indignation to great figures of other faiths? Can you believe in Muslem, Buddhism, Hinduism, but not Christianity? If you can accept these other religions, then it stands that you do have faith, you do believe in things such as the Koran, etc. You accept and believe in these but not Christianity? People can all gather around bashing Christianity. All the other religions hate Christians. Kind of the enemy of my enemies are my friends.

And islam teaches to covert or kill the infidels. Or is that too much for your unholy, God thrashing ears. One of these days you will bow your knee to Jesus. Will you do it as an or in judgment.

Also, I am not sure why the bashers say Christians do not believe in science. The Bible has printed scientific truths that science just discovered. Such as : washing your hands in RUNNING WATER, the earth is ROUND, and pork is bad for the human body. Get a grip and stop regurgitating what other idiots have spouted out in ignorance.

If you are going to bash the BOOK, at least read it first.

Rolling Stone, now that you have gotten answers from people it has gotten me started.
Okay first answer I read since when has anyone put a gun to your head and forced you to accept anything the Bible has said? And since you obviously didn't comply why are you still alive?

Secondly, please dear God someone explain to me how exactly Christianity is dangerous? I have never intentionally harmed anyone and if I have harmed them I have apologized. Just the other day we had a BBQ in the park with another church group and noticed a bum sitting alone and offered him food and something to drink and even brought him a piece of cake. We noticed that his shoes were worn and so we took up a collection got him a room, new clothes and shoes and the pastor is now trying to find him a job. I don't think this sounds like a dangerous group of people to me. It sounds to me like its a bunch of drivel from a group of people who spend all of their free time trying to discredit another group of people that have beliefs. Well to me that is the very definition of hate.

First, this is an open forum discussion group. Bashing isn't nice but hardcore debate is what is expected.

Second, very few religions today make a practice of trying to convert everybody else and of trying to change the world to their point of view. Christians believe as part of their faith and duty that they must spread the word and convert everybody on the planet. Buddhist and Hindus and Jews don't do that.

Some one is talking about doing some charity of offering food and shining his shoes n the name of God. Why do you need a church group to do that.You are expecting him to convert to your beliefs out of gratitude.Christianity stoops to any level to convert people even offering bribes.Go and see what these missioneries are doing to Africans,Indians,chinese....offer bribes and gifts if they convert.What kind of God would like such conversions?Is the God like a presidential candidate?You vote for him and he will give you a free pass to heaven?Don't talk about charity by church groups, you don't need religion to do service.And any service with an expectation is futile in the true sense of humanity.

In my opinion anyone who absolutely says that their faith is right and all others wrong is a self deluded fool, unless they can ante up some evidence. Dogma is not evidence. Dogma is laughed at.

Anyway... most religions are merely stupid and irrelevant. Christianity and Islam, although stupid, are NOT irrelevant... they are downright dangerous. However, contrary to conventional wisdom (media, propoganda), Islam is nowhere near the dire and immediate threat to the future of the USA, to the world and to humanity that Christianity is.

I'd say that perhaps you should ask such questions to God. If god didn't want such musings, there wouldn't be. Unless you have one of those LIMITED gods.

Another explaination might be, that such people are merely giving BACK the 'LOVE' that they have been shown by christians, as in "Jesus's" second commandment---Love others as you would want to be loved.

Technically, a person only needs ONE example of the 'bad actions' of a christian to justify their destruction, but one can look at history to see hundreds of examples. One really doesn't need to look back either, when EVERY christian denomination has law suits and judgements against them for ickies like child molestion and rape.

Another explaination might be that Christianity can/is refuted within its own scriptures. Pretty much EVERY Christian tenent is listed with the scriptures as an abomination to god.

If you are really LOOKING for the reality of the situation though, you might also want to add up the number of silly posts BY CHRISTIANS. Christians NEED the We versus THEM mentality, that's how they can create their SELF righteousness.

Christians for centuries have spread the philosophy 'convert or die'. Thankfully, they aren't sheding the blood like they have done in the past. Though one should point out that to CLAIM 'salvation' before the 'Day of Judgement' is Bearing False Witness. No man can judge another. Even 'Jesus' said that following him wasn't a 'get out of hell FREE card'.

But its not like we can really expect morality or even knowledge from a bunch of self proclaimed sinners, like the Christians AND the Muslims for that matter. IF a sinner is willing to LIE and DEFY their OWN god, truth is NOTHING is sacred to them. IF a sinner is willing to LIE and DEFY their OWN god, it not like we can expect them to be nice and tell the 'truth' to mere humans now can we?!?

Christianity is a religion based from pagan beliefs, you people need to do more research, its not about which religion or label you are part of, god is more worried about whats in your heart, than some religious label or cult.
