I dont believe that God exists and lemme tell you why...
Within every civilization throughout history humans have believed in some sort of deity or supernatural occurrence. I mean does general human history every strike you as illogical? The inhabitants of ancient Egypt would argue severed donkey heads bring them luck. In medieval times, Doctors would argue the cure to their patient’s ailment is to drill a hole in their skull to release trapped demons. Muslims argue Jinn dwell in bushes and trees, Shaytaan lives in the nose, if you fall asleep while praying Shaytaan urinates in your mouth and Allah once turned Jews into monkeys and so forth. So what exactly is it that separates your God from the hundreds of thousands of others that man has created? I think that God did not create man but rather, man created God to rationalize what he could not understand. Today, I believe, God only exists within the imagination and fear of humans.
I could point out verses in the Bible where the all-loving God kills kids because they insulted a bald man, where he tells you to kill homosexuals, that you're allowed sell your own daughter into slavery, etc.... BTW, the bible also is full of scientific errors as is the Quran. They both seem to have the impression the earth is flat and that the sky is held up by pillars. I dont think that its really that hard to find these things, but if you're in that religion it is hard to get to point where you're ready to question it. I mean just about all religious people are programmed from early youth to never question what was imposed upon them. They're threatened with torture of hell and given promises of a wonderful paradise in the afterlife. And all successful religions offer something. Some make you feel important in this massive lonely universe or subside your fear of death by telling you that you'll go to some magical land where you will happy forever. (Some religions like Islam promise sex and wealth.) Anyways they play on your emotions, fears and desires to control you. And I guess it would be hard to give those "joyous" things up-even if they are empty promises. Whenever I first debated theists I was dumbfounded by how much in denial they can be. But then I realized that religion had nothing to do with intelligence; its about an emotional attachment. Its like calling their mother a whore. They'd never agree with you and defend her by any means even if what you're saying is true.

This is precisely why I believe in God: Because He wants me.
It might seem elitist, but that's besides the point. God wants certain people, and He leads certain people to Him.
There is one definite axiom to perform on yourself to find out if you are one of those people: Do YOU want to know God? If so, then He wants you. If not, then don't waste your time, you will never understand Him or the scriptures.
Jesus promised something that is also definitive: At the end of John 15 and in the midst of John 16, Jesus promised that there would be a 'Comforter', 'Counselor': identified as the Holy Spirit when Jesus left Earth after the resurrection. This Holy Spirit is the proof that everyone seeks, whether they know it or not.
The Holy Spirit does things to people which are against normal human nature. It causes people to trust in the Unseen God. People have enough trouble trusting in seen thing, and people. But God's Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. They are the same. They are One. And they work on certain people to lead them to the truth.
It is because of this that I believe. Otherwise it would be against my nature to do it.
EDITED: It is in John 15 and 16 that Jesus promises the Holy Spirit. I miswrote John 5 and 6.

Walked as an atheist well versed in science, math, engineering, electronics and bout jack of bout 100 trades. Big on Star Trek, Space, Nasa, History Channel, Discovery, etc. Web Designer, web geek, etc. Just a well rounded nerd lol.
Grew up in a Baptist family and pit of my gut always said "this is all wrong, just wrong". So I fought against it all and refused to follow what the famliy did. For I saw religion as fools leading fools. Typical atheist.
Then at 30, I was out taking pics of my work truck. I had a "feeling" someone tapped me on my shoulder, I spun and snapped a pic but nothing was there. Later on computer, there was a purple ghost image. Friend who is a camera expert checked the image for 3 days, all tests. His answer, whatever it is, it was there at time of pic.
Then few weeks later I had what most call a orb experience. Plain as day I had 7 see thru gold/amber marbles in front of me in my home office as I sat on the floor working. I wasn't drinking, nothing. I then felt a peace come over me that I cannot still describe even 8 yrs later. Earlier that summer I had gotten meningitis. Due to that I was going through regular blood tests to ensure all was ok. Test prior to orbs to test after, I was healed. Even to point my dr. test results now show me as a 22 yr old. Even though I am 38, smoke a pack a day, down least 8 pops, fast food, etc. Doesn't make sense.
Then a week later I was driving with my Gma in snow/rain. We hit a big puddle on the freeway and lost control. Flipping my SUV. But as we were upsidedown about to wreck, we were somehow put 1/2 mile ahead of that point as if nothing had happened. If I was alone, I would of driven to the nearest hospital and checked myself in. But since I had a witness, a 83 yr old witness who confirmed all I saw, I didn't know what to think.
Then I have come to realize I have not aged since 30. I'm 38, no gray, no ailments and a picture of me today is the same as a picture of me at 30. People are even starting to realize... hey.. you are not aging, whats up?
Due to these things that I cannot explain with all the science I know and use to love. I have no choice but to rationally accept there is a higher power and He does have control over us, even though we normally don't realize it.
Now this is a brief explanation. It has gotten deep enough that I have created a web site just to house all that I find related to what happend to me, what I see, etc.
Oh, and in the past year I have begun to have dreams/visions that I can only assume are the future, for its a destroyed world that I see. Been talking to other Native Indians, and they too are getting dreams/visions. So I am not alone.
Something is going on......

I beleive in a God because from the beginning of time until now there was beliefs and theories about spirits, gods and something controlling us and the world if those things aren't true then how could humans have come up with it if their imaginations don't have the knowledge of the "super natural" because we can't even see it. Another thing is because there is good and consciences in this world, something has to be controlling your conscience and even as bad as people can be, it is impossible not to have good in them because of God and good, but which leads me that I also beleive in Satan. There is bad (called sin) in this world and it is because of the freewill that we have. The freewill is given to us by God but Satan is the one who puts sin in our head and tempts us and tells us lies. I beleive that if God doesn't encourage us with our conscience to do good so what's the point of doing it? If there was no God then doing bad would be all we would be doing because no one would be encouraging us to do it and even without a Satan we would be doing it. I also beleive that there are demons and angels. Demons are spirits that work for Satan and they are mostly used in people who are atheists and practice witchcraft. That's why you see demon-possessed people in the world, it is proof that there are demons while leads that there is a Satan cuz demon-possessed people don't act the way they do because they want to, you could also see it in their eyes. Angels are way more rarer to see and they work for God. They do miracles because they go along with God's plan and they usually occur with Christians. Someone had to come up with the theories of angels too. With few Christians they could tell you they saw an angel, disguised as a human or not, they can tell.

I believe in God because as soon as i turned away from my sinful past and opened my heart to the lord. I became a much happier person and you know I could feel the goodness in myself, i could feel that God and Jesus were watching over me. You know i could just feel it. It's hard to explain but you feel like all this time you were incomplete and know your whole. You feel as if this part of your self was missing the whole time and you didn't know. My life is amazing every day!
and I have God and Jesus to thank for it!
Also when you pray, you can feel God and Jesus is listening! people that don't have faith proberly won't believe me but it is true! I'm telling the truth! See I pray because i want to please God and Jesus not like when eg. Muslim's pray at certain times of the day beacuse they think they "have" too, they don't want to pray but they feel they must.
I on the other hand want to make God and Jesus happy and when I pray i become happy!

It's all about definitions.
I DO NOT believe in a divine king that requires my oath of loyalty.
I believe in God as a force more than a personality, yet far more than a force. God is synonymous with love, or at least our perception of God is synonymous with love.
So if God is love then I must believe in God.
When I see charity I see God.
When I see great sacrifice for love of others I see God.
God is that which holds all things together.
Love and show us God.

Yes, I believe in the existence of God.
The reason:
To me it makes sense if all things are created by One Supreme Entity as compare to saying that all things just suddenly exist.
All things have beginning and ending. Therefore the Creator of all things must be superior than the things created and must not have beginning and ending. I call that Creator as God.
Analogy:
You see a sophisticated TV set in your friend's house. Can you believe your friend if he says that the TV just suddenly appear in his house? Our common sense normally says that there must be a maker for the TV and your friend may just bought the TV from a shop and brought it to his house.
It doesn't make sense if things so sophisticated (not just TV set but the universe, to suddenly appear from nowhere).

Dan, are you kidding? Everything!
We believe because God called us and saved us.
Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

I believe in God. First of all I believe in the Holy Bible. Every time I look at the sky, plants, animals and people. I know that there has to be a Creator (God) somewhere. He is everywhere, knows all things and is all powerful.
