It depends on your past job experience.
What do you want to do? Have you been out of work?
I am 51 and just started a new business after being home with my kids for 12 years. I never looked into the job market because of my age. Besides, I've been on my own far too long to work for another person.
I love what I do now. Part time. A bit of income. I set my hours. Not bad for close to retirement age.
Good luck. I hope you find something.

There are lots of good jobs for people at your age.
Many older people retire and work as a teacher, teaching people what they have been doing for the last 30 years.
Other times you can work as a supervisor in fast food chains or other jobs like that.
Some times older people can be discriminated against, but just go out and apply. After all managers are sick of teenagers and young people goofing off. They might appreciate someone a little bit more serious in their outlook.

Greeter at Wal-Mart, Meijer or any large chain store.
If you are a handy person with tools, how about going to Home Depot or Lowe's.
