Its me again
thanks for your responce but I have researched the sparkplugs starting in nissan and ending on NGK website. and the plug I pulled out is the recommended one,
they all recommend 14mm thread 26.5mm long thread.
which is 1.04 inch from which about a .250-.375 of that is burned, which suggests that the plug is that deep in cylinder.
and get fired at. now this woulndt be a problem for me untill you try to unscrew the plug, through the burned threads.

Im trying to figure out the reason for it.
here are pictures of what Im talking about http://members.cox.net/rodowski/...
thnx

ok go to www.advanceautoparts.com or the store
they sell it for less and you will save money
they recommend NGK cause their Nissan engines are very picky in brand
NGK is the world leader in spark plugs which is the best
so Nissan engines have some problem with other brands because of the spark plugs firing power and material is different
so should get some NGKs and the specific model number for better car performance

So you drove this car the required 100,000 miles so you needed spark plugs. Yes the plugs are mostly threads and they stick into the combustion chamber right into the middle. Where they can ignite fuel and air. Last week I removed a set from a Altima with 147,000 miles I replaced a defective air flow meter on that car. Some times the radator cap rubber swells up and blows the gead gasket then the plugs become corroded from inside and break off not turn out.. The QR 25 engine is great until it gets overheated or cat converter breaks up and sends junk into the engine.

the 02 altima 4 cyl uses NGK Laser Platnum plugs p/n is 5555 I believe.
they need to be removed by at least 60,000 miles, leave them in longer, you heavily risk stripping the fragile aluminum threads, as manufacturers do not use anti-seize compound on the plugs.

to remove them, all you can do is gently bang on your ratchet to loosen them up.
laser platnum plugs claim to not need gapping, gap them anyway if need be.

the "Laser" part is simply a gimmick, and yes, they are $8 each
all it is is a platnum plug that has a laser welded tip, they put a fine-wire tip and laser weld it to the plug, hence, "laser platnum".
Use the NGK's only, the car will run like crap with anything else.

Match them up to the one taken out. if the treads are different do not use the. The part store may have looked up the wrong part. Put NGK in that car.
