The Bible may have stories in it that seem scientifically impossible, but God is all powerful and he can do whatever he wants.

Did you see what I just did? I took something I had NO scientific evidence for (the existence of God) and I used it to prove something I have NO scientific evidence for (the miracles).

That logic has no holes in it whatsoever. Agree?

Proving something that has no scientific evidence by using something else that has no scientific evidence is a perfectly valid way of establishing truth.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at here; are you just trying to bash on Christians?
If not, then I must point out, science cannot, and will not, ever prove or disprove the existence of God, so, on a scientific level, it is pointless to argue the existence of God, because one can only present evidence, not proof. I will never prove to you, scientifically, that God exists, and you will never prove to me, scientifically, that God does not exist.

That being said, the logic there has holes in it only because the initial assumptions are not defined. Assuming there is a God, and, by definition as God, he is in fact omnipotent, then the miracles in the bible which seem scientifically impossible are in fact possible. It all hinges on the assumption of God's existence and nature.

As a Christian I can agree with what you said. I know that God is. But to those who have nothing to base their belief in God on, they will not see any kind of truth in it; it's against human nature to trust in God.

But saying that there's " NO scientific evidence for" is irrational, unscientific, and wishful thinking for the 'natural' man. The people who say such things have no scientific evidence, which does not necessarily mean that there isn't any scientific evidence. They just don't have any.

Those that have the evidence are those that have in their lives the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to those who believe. Those that do not have this "Holy Spirit" do not have the evidence, and so declare daily that there isn't any evidence. Just because they do not have it.

God keeps the evidence for those who trust Him. So if anyone wants the evidence must get it from God.

Otherwise the statement, " There is no evidence" is presumptuous, irrational, and illogical.

you forgot about the little tidbit that god isn't proven, you can't use that to make a fact when it is speculation at best.

"Proving something that has no scientific evidence by using something else that has no scientific evidence is a perfectly valid way of establishing truth."

HAHA that has to be the most idiotic thing I have read all night. By that knowledge, two wrongs make a right? hm. Look up truth in your dictionary hon.

No. That's not the way logic works. By that logic you could be like my pillow is white because that cloud is, therefore comic books are for blonds.
see, I took one thing I have NO scientific evidence for and used it to prove something I have NO scientific evidence for.

as you see, it makes no sense

No.

You are assuming that god is real and that god is all powerful.

It may be a correct assumption, but there is no logic or evidence behind it.

Given the contradictions within the all powerful, all knowing and all loving god and the world the logical conclusion is that the bible is wrong.

God is not as described, if he was the world could not be as it is.

universe has a two major cycle to stay alive. First cycle is anything about creation, birth, or born. Second is destruction, death or degradation. Both works to coexist.
Early wise men has identified these first cycle and they call it God. Second they call it Devil. time passes then they die, next generation wise men read the older wise men's scriptures (old testament) and found out that they found a way to save human beings that there's a way to live forever in the cycle of life. (new testament)
The first cycle they identified is God.
The second cycle identified is Devil
The way to life forever is Jesus.

Human typical way of thinking or perception is by using instict. like food, shelter, friendship. love. sex, marriage, beauty etc.
Wise men has figured a way to figuritively express such "cycle" and "way" to a true life living in order for us typical humans to extend our instinct and instead follow the laws they forsee to live forever in the first cycle.

these two cycle is universal around the world. but while there are different environmental forces in different parts of the globe. it may say that there are different "way of living". finding Jesus is only one way(in a particular location) but actually not applicable to others. that is why many religion expressed this in their own way. the way of life in their respective environment.

anyone can be logical, but if they don't have a correct premise, logic will only lead to false conclusions. Satan's game is getting people to focus so much on the logic that they take their eyes off the premise. The premise is humility and the conclusion is Jesus Christ.
