Yes, I met this guy in 1997. He was handsome, looked like Tom Cruise, he said all the right things, did all the right things and threw me away because I only said that I didn't know how I was going to fit him into my schedule, I said that because we had unprotected sex that I would let him know if anything "happened" that night, to which he went ballistic saying I was trying to trap him, that it wouldnt happen because he had a vasectomy and then it became a nightmare and he called me a TOAD! Accused me of Stalking him, and was a total *** to me, I was heartbroken because I was younger, didnt know yet that a guy could be so damn icy and I had totally opened up my heart to LOVE this guy, just being in front of him made my heart skip a beat and he didnt believe ANYTHING I told him, totally verbally beat the crap out of me. BTW he was a Scorpio. I will never forget that hurt, I had NEVER been rejected in that way before...and he never gave me the benefit of the doubt. So sad to say , dont know if this comes off heartbreaking or not but I am so guarded now that I think I have sabotaged alot of relationships because of this guy...Ok, thats my sad story, I have a few, but that is the one that is on my mind tonight. Take Care-Rachel.

If you keep looking for someone to complete you, you will keep getting hurt. You have to get to a point where you are happy with being on your own and don't need a relationship. then it will happen, that is the irony. Because apparently the most successful relationships are for those people who actually don't need a relationship. Who are already the love they seek.
I know it doesn't always seem this way. Ie I have a friend who was never alone... went from relationship to relationship and is now happily married with kids. She says she would probably be an alcoholic if she were me (32 and single) .. Thanks......nice, but anyway, it made me feel sorry for her in a way because where will she be if her husband dies or leaves her?
I believe in this theory, just because i do. Experience has taught me it.

Yep...been there to many times to count...been used by men and abused!!! It seems to be a trait or something for me...I always attracted the wrong type of men...the bad boys...I was attracted to them too...My last heartbreak happened in 2002 when my ex took his life because of some issues he was having...he was the one man in my life that didn't hit me or never ever cheated on me...we had a great relationship...until that day when the cops came to my house and told me...I hate that day now every year...I have since moved on and I am dating a younger guy now that is wonderful...I met him online and we talked for months before meeting...we learned about eachother before we actually saw one another so there was a deeper connection besides just the attraction...as we progressed I slowly fell for him and here I am almost going on two years...it will happen though and I am so sorry that your friends aren't more compassionate for your feelings...

Well, I'm 5 years older than you and I'm in the same boat. It could be worse!
Let's see what else. When I was young and stupid I broke up with a great guy and he ended up marrying the girl he met 3 weeks later!
