Witchcraft works. I presume you are talking about spell casting in particular? It works for me, because the way I cast, it is just common sense and you can do it. I can only cast for myself, which is common in the Craft.
If you want proof, I recommend that study it and try it yourself. It just does not work like the stuff you see in Harry Potter and other Hollywood silly stuff. It works by you visualizing a very specific goal, getting into a quiet place, a light trance state is good, and concentrating on your goal. It needs to be an obtainable goal, remember, this is not Hollywood. You focus on the goal, and go through the steps, in you mind, seeing what would be necessary to have the goal accomplished. Then you visualize the goal as though it has actually been accomplished. At the end, you have the tools to transform and you can see what is necessary for you to DO to achieve that goal. Spells are not waving wands around or mixing toads and lizards into potions.... I wish people would not take that stuff seriously. Spells are focused concentration, visualization, and then having the tools needed for transformation, you transform the goal from desire into reality. It is up to you and you and your brain and heart are the magic workers.
Please note that all this is just one Witch's point of view and there are many Witches out there. We each have our own ways with magic, but remember this:THERE IS NO WRONG WAY. Whatever works for you is right.
Although there is no wrong way, I think my fellow Witches would probably agree with me in saying that Hollywood "magic" is not a "right" way or a real way.
Proof is only obtainable by doing. There are some books out there if you want to learn more. Try Teresa Moorey's "Witchcraft, A Beginner's Guide" if you would like to pursue this further, or you can email me.
I wish you bright blessings,

Religion has many myths but people don't question them, do they? The same applies to practices of witchcraft as well, that are said to be precursors of modern religious beliefs. Witchcraft began in Celtic / British traditions as a way to understand the unknown. If white magic is the evolution of that quest, the proof is in the practise and the understanding that some things are better experienced, not explained. See the site below.

No offence taken. If you are looking for controlled, repeatable experiments you can do at home, Sorry, but I can't offer you that. Occult pratice is completely and totally subjective, and only you can decide if it works for you. I'm not going to go into the things I've experienced, because frankly, it sounds crazy even to me.
But when you do a money spell and a few days later a check for several thousand dollars shows up with a COMPLETELY rational explanation, or you lay a curse on some @$$hole, and their business suddenly goes under with again, a completely rational explanation... well...
If you need the science, (and I do) read some of the excellent layman's books on quantum physics that are available in your local bookstore. You might start out with Taking The Quantum Leap by Fred Wolfe, but there are many out there. Go browse the section, thats all I can tell you.

Your question as you ask it would require pages and pages to answer as it is a broad spectrum question. I will do my best not to answer the question but give you help in finding the answer yourself.
First of all, wicca, paganism, neo-eclectic, etc. are all personal religions. As a matter of fact there is no "specific" wicca or pagan religion. Common misconception is that a man by the name of Gerald Gardner "invented" wicca somewhere between 50 and 70 years ago. This is in some ways true and in some ways false. He did invent a religion he called wicca, but the roots for that invention go a lot further back. They predate most every religion out there, including christianity. The religion we now know as wicca was a fundamental understanding of the world and the energies that flow through it. "Witchcraft," which now carries a negative connotation in society, is simply the practice and manifestation of those beliefs. When I say wicca is a personal religion it is a religion that doesn't focus on a "right and wrong" way of doing things, with rigid guidlines and rules, but focuses on discovering your own specific path. The energies you want to know so much about are personal and natural energies, and are "used" by the practitioner to gain new insights into themselves and to help others. Wicca in and of itself is a dynamic and individualistic religion that focuses on learning the individuals path through life through meditation, ritual, and yes even prayer.
On to the energies you asked about. As I mentioned before these energies are both natural and personal. They can be powerful, but often lack the physical representation that many are mislead to believe exist. It is an energy that is percieved, but rarely seen. It is an energy that is felt, but rarely touched. If you cannot understand what I mean by this then perhaps you don't understand the nature of the question you asked.
As for the proof, there is only one person in the world that can "prove" to you those energies actually do work. And that is yourself. I can recommend ways for you to prove it to yourself, but I cannot prove them to you myself. The most basic way is to sit down in a quiet place, somewhere you feel safe and comfortable. Pick a single object that holds some meaning to you and concentrate on it. Close your eyes and just concentrate. Once you have that object, and only that object, firmly in mind begin to concentrate on yourself. Look deep inside yourself and look for those energies. If you cannot find them, then perhaps wicca/paganism is not the path for you. If you do find them, and believe me you will know when you do, then you won't need any more "proof."

There is no more 'proof' of such things than any OTHER religion or none religious theology. Sure those that are IN such groups can have their proof, but another will only share it if they buy it.
With ALL such things it depends on how you SEE them and define them. Kinda like telling a Christian that they are a 'ritualistic cannibal' when they take part in communion...hehehee they don't SEE nor define it that way. The definitions define your reality, how you see, what you see, and what you will act upon.
If you are looking for the 'hollywood' witchcraft, you will not find it. Sure there are alot of posers that will CLAIM that can really do stuff, but usually its just a load of BS. Though there are some people that do have 'gifts' like ESP, prophetic dreams, even clairvoyance. Many governments over the years have/do have programs that are in the resourcing and using such people with 'gifts'.

Witchcraft is a way of life. It's not like the TV show Charmed, although I did love watching that show.
There are many different varieties of witchcraft. I follow the green witch path which contains elements of garden magic, kitchen magic and cooking magic all of which requires a basic knowledge of herbalism.
I don't go around waving a magic wand and casting spells. Maybe you are watching too many movies and getting the wrong idea of what true witchcraft is.

Wicca is a religion, not an ability, therefore whether it "works" or not depends on if it is YOUR religion.
Witchcraft defined as "the use of a spell to gain a tangible result" is more problematic because of how a person will define "tangible results"
Other powerful ablities with the perception of magnetic fields have been documented as well as the ability that some people have in influencing them.

Wicca is a religion, not a magical ability. Many witches do have abilities but it's not what you see on television. I know a psychic witch and she is very talented and has a gift. Witches often practice "magick" but it's more like prayer using tools and symbolism. It's probably not what you think. And yes, if you ever prayed for something and got it, it worked. So in a way, it does work.
(I didn't spell magick wrong by the way. It's spelled differently for those who practice Wicca).

Some people think that it works, others just think that witchcraft is a joke. There is no real proof. I'm Wiccan, an I don't "see" real results, somehow you know that love spell you put on that guy works. There is many spells, but I guess it depends on how you use them, and if you do them right. uh, sometimes the love ones really do work!!

Witchcraft doesn't work as you see it in the media. Although real Witchcraft if done right does work. I don't know how I would go about giving you proof over the internet. It's good to be skeptical and questioning and it sounds like you also have an open mind about this which is also a good thing.
If you want somebody to show you proof go to www.witchvox.com and find a Witch in your area and get together with them.
