It is okay. I still prefer the original style AK made in Romania; bought one of the STG-2000 and it did the same job as the original. In actuality there is no such thing as a bad AK.

Yes, its a good rifle and the price could be a couple bucks lower, but its not like you're being ripped off. If you've actually looked it over, handled it and like it, buy it. The only AK I like better is the one I bought, a Vepr in 7.62x39. RPK receiver with a medium weight barrel, side scope mount and great sights. It'll shoot under 2" groups with cheap russian ammo. Under 1" with Winchester or Remington factory loads. Then again, its more than double the price of what you're looking at.

AK's should be cheap. Buy it and buy another 4 if you're smart. Hitlery may eventually become president....

First forget the full auto idea, it isn't going to happen. You need to be 21 and the cost a boat load of money in both the paper work and buying the gun...... its just a huge pain in the ***. Although the AK-47 is the only full auto firearm worth buying just get a semi. You only need to be 18 for the semi, they cost 400-800 bucks, and are really fun to shoot. BTW: Try our wrong, and you sound like what your saying is something that came from Commifornia.

Well those rifles don't have that good 'ol Kalashnikov look to them, but are slightly superior to the Warsaw Pact clones (WASRs, MAK-90, Yugos) in performance. They are climbing in price and will only increase in value more and more. I bought another WASR-10 last month to keep unfired for when prices get ridiculous. And if they don't, then I still have two AK-47s, win-win. So in short, buy it. It's a great rifle. If you can afford it, buy two.

I picked one up in Elizabeth, NJ at a gun store for $329.99. I'm not sure if you can find a better deal in your location, but there were even good substitutes for $299.99 and under. But I agree the New Romanian AK 47 Rifle is SICK!

That is a great price, I seldom see them under 500. You can get a basic AK for 350 but with all those goodies it is a deal.
