I wear my engagement ring everyday. (I'll wear the wedding band to go with it once I'm actually married). I do it to show people of my love and commitment to my fiance. It also helps to keep the sleazy men at bay.

A ring is a symbol, it does not define. I recently lost my wedding band - it slipped off while we were planting this past spring. I have worn that ring for almost 24 years now. It is one of the few material things that had meaning. I remind myself it is just a material 'thing' but I am sad it is gone. We do not have the money at the moment to replace it, but we will at some point. So, right now I am married and not wearing a ring (I never wanted an engagement ring). I try to joke about it - I tell my husband to keep his distance when we're out as I might be able to pick someone up - lol. Also, I know couples who are allergic (I have a friend who can't wear any metal) or whose jobs require they wear no jewelry. Sometimes there are good reasons people do not wear a ring when married. I probably would not notice if someone was not wearing a ring. It does not matter to me.

I wear my wedding ring everyday, I never take it off. It is a reminder of how blessed I am and a way to declare to everyone, with pride, that I am spoken for.

Actually no. Neither me or my husband wear our wedding rings. I had to cut mine off after I started to gain weight. My husband lost his after taking a shower in the motel and by the time he realized it and drove back, someone had stolen it. We have never bothered to get new rings. We are both devoted to each other.
By the way, we lost our rings over 20 years ago and will be married 28 years in October.

I do wear my wedding ring most of the time. I used to wear it all the time until one of the stones fell out of it and we had to get it replaced. Honestly, I do feel sort of "naked" without it.

When I get my wedding ring, I will wear it every day for the rest of my life, with pride. I will never take it off. It will show that I am proud to be married and proud of my man....proud to be his and exclusively his.

Wore my wedding band and engagement ring all the time for over a decade. Lately, my skin problem gets to my fingers, so I don't wear the rings all the time any more. I really miss them when I don't have them on.

My husband and I have worn our wedding rings for 33 years. Not because we have to, but because we're proud to be so much in love for so many years.

Anyone who is engaged/married should PROUDLY wear their rings at ALL times.

Except, of course, if they're in the shower or if their job has rules against jewelry, or something else to that nature where you could lose or damage the ring(s).

Other than that, there should be NO EXCUSE for someone to take of their ring. Period.

EDIT: Umm, excuse me? Three thumbs down? OK, if you don't agree with what I said above, you don't need to be married.
Those rings symbolize the love and respect you have for each other in the relationship. Not to mention that they proudly display the fact that you're taken. Plus, I believe it's part of the vows during the ceremony that the rings should be worn at all times.
Why is tradition suddenly becoming so taboo nowadays?!?

No neither my husband or I were a wedding ring, I feel its like claiming property and he doesn't like jewelry. We know who we are committed to, so its all good for us anyway.
