What do you do when your heart breaks into two: part of you wants to go back home, where you grew up, to be close to family--

and part of you wants to be in the country you've been in for a few years, got education and could continue--but there is no family?

Tired of being so torn apart, tired of not seeing my mom, of not speaking my language. I'm afraid when I go home I won't find a job, and I can't bring my family here.

It sounds like you are really discouraged at this particular moment.
You didn't mention what broke your heart in two.
You also don't say how close or far you are from having completed your education. On that note, I would say that if you are a year or less from completing your education to stay and finish your education. On the other hand - if you are so heart broken that you do not think you can concentrate on your education - then by all means take a break for a little while and go back home. Going back home might be just the thing that you need to get yourself "whole" again.
It is hard to keep going when you don't have family where you are, but you know the old saying "What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger" seems to apply to this situation.
I know all too well how it is not to have family where I live ( although I live in the same country as my family - they live at least 600 miles away from me).
Perhaps you have some good friends that you can lean on in this time of need and they can help you to look at both sides of the question in a calm and rational manner.
Don't know if I answered your question or not - but hopefully I will give you some food for thought.
Good luck with your decision. Just make sure that you don't make the decision on the spur of the moment.

Start making plans for a long holiday at home this winter when you have a break from school. Planning and anticipation will help mend your heart and the trip will do you a world of good. From now on, don't stay away so long. The whole family could chip in to bring you home now and then so it wouldn't be a financial strain on any one person. Best wishes!

Listen to your heart! Yes you may have to make sacrifices, but ask yourself are they for the best????

If its in your best interest do it! You need your education! Visit your family as much as possible! But stay in school, possible further your education!

Ask yourself...How would you be better off? What makes you, YOU? Its difficult not seeing your family! But is it to make yourself better? You need to think of you. You need a job! Give yourself a time limit. Set goals. See how things go..and when your time runs out! Make your final decision!

Could you make more frequent trips back home? Maybe you should consider software that would enable you to speak to them on the phone and see them on the computer at the same time. Don't make a decision based on emotions.
