What is the exact proceedure for purchasing a firearm in the state of PA? Is there waiting periods???

The reason why I am asking is I have bought a .38 and I am worried that the armory I bought it from did not register the weapon under my name... I also wonder if they ever did a background check on me. I walked in picked a gun and 1 hour later I walked out with that gun. Is this legal? I heard from someone that I should have had to wait 7 days... I am truely scared that I could get in trouble with this gun... HELP!!! And it was from a REAL gun dealer... They have been around for over a decade, my father used to shop there when I was little.

You should have filled out some paper work with your address, place of birth and such then the shop calls it in and you are approved. It is called an instant background check, the days of waiting were years ago.

It is a perfectly legally sale. If there is no local ordinance regard registering guns, a person would have to be NUTS to voluntarily do it.

there is not any registration or training requirement required. the only element you are able to desire to do is circulate to the gun shop and fill out the place of work work. you are able to acquire a hid carry enable for 25 funds, no training requirement. Open carry is loose.
