I have seen and had a lot of bad things happen in my life, which had a huge impact on me. Sometimes when I'm struggling I feel angry like if it wasn't for all that, I would have been able to do so much more, and not hold myself back so much. But when I try looking for the silver lining, I realize that I would not have the wisdom I have today if it were not for all that stuff. No pain no gain I guess.
But my grandfather taught me something special. Through his example I learned to go to the ends of the earth to help a friend, he was always there for me when the dust settled.

My mother died before I was old enough to remember her. She was a Christian, the Bible says she is in Heaven. I do believe in the Bible. Now I am a Christian and I know that I will get to see her someday. Wow what a day that will be. Becoming a Christian was it for me, what a burden it lifted off of me, I felt such relief, that also showed me that the Bible was the truth to. Every word of it. I can feel the Holy Spirit in my heart. It is such a comfort to know I will be in heaven with her someday. I thank you for that question, it was probably better for me that you. Your impact on others is working. Keep it up and may God Bless YOU.....

When my sister drowned two weeks before her second birthday, I was 15. It taught me that life is short and all things must die. And that it is important to spend as much time as you can with those you love. But perhaps most of all that you cannot blame yourself for things you cannot control.

I was very sick. I felt I was at the ceiling looking down at this person on the bed and hearing what people were saying. It shook me up when I realized the person on the bed was me. I was afraid I was dying and started to do better than I had before. That is still a dread and it was many years ago. Still scares me.

It's cliche, but I had a great art teacher in high school who made me interested in a lot more than the narrow interests I had before. She broadened my world to include music, history, poetry, and humanities in general.

I am the same way.....sucks that it takes something like that to make you realize it.
I am an RN. I see things like that all the time. That's what taught me to cherish every moment with the people I love.

Being at my grandmothers bed side when she passed away. Before that experience I feared death and the bodies it left behind, but since then, i don't know its hard to explain I am just at peace with it and I know that there is life after this no one can tell me otherwise.

I was born again by the power of the Holy Spirit when it was completely unexpected and I didn't even know such a thing was possible. Totally transformed me, from the inside out. Nothing else comes close.

Being born again from above by God's Holy Spirit...Nothing has been the same since...
"But as many as received him (Jesus), TO THEM he gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe in his name, which were born.... not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God"- (John 1:12)
"Except a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God" _ Jesus
