I want to know where I stand with my boyfriend.

We've been together about 6 months. Things are good. We are both happy and in love. We've been together a little while now and I want to know if he sees us together more long term. This is important because he is more than likely going to be relocating for his job in the next 6 months. When I bring up the topic of him moving and me missing him he always says that I can move with him, but I'm not sold on how serious he is about that. I'm thinking maybe he is saying that to shut me up.

So how do I start the conversation? I don't want to scare him or upset him because I just want to know where we stand. Please give me some advice!

Why dont you just ask him straight? If he truly love you, he would most probably be planning the wedding! However, 6 mths is not long and most guys may wait a while more to see if the relationship can work out. If you wanna know if your relationship can last, you should ask him straight whether he is considering long term.
Good luck in yr relationship! =)

If you're boyfriend wants you to come with him then go with him. it's not every day that a guy OFFERS that kind of thing. The best way to ask is probably something like this.
"I was wondering about you moving. When is that?...Okay well, I realize we've been together for a long time and I really want to stay with you. I was wondering if I could take you're offer on me going with you."
If you two are close enough maybe add a "I love you." in there. That's just the way I would do it.

Tell him you got a job offer in another state. Ask him if he wants to relocate and move in with you.

If after 6 months, you can't talk about it, let him go, he's not for you.
