I use my old Stevens 311 16 guage side by side, It may be as old as the hills but when you have used a gun 4 25 yrs you tend to trust it ........I use noble shells, and they pattern great out of the ol'girl....I got 2 turkey last year.....1 24 lb tom..11" beard and an 18lb jake.....Every year I open up the gun safe thinking I am going to take one of my"high" end shot guns out turkey hunting, and the one that allways ends up in the gun case is my trusty 16 side-by-side...It hasn't let me down yet......

Some states permit handguns and rifles, but most limit turkey hunting to shotguns only, and nothing larger than a 10 gauge.

A 12ga. Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag with an "H.S. Strut" extra full turkey choke.
It works like a charm.

In my state, rifles are no longer allowed, so my drilling sits home and I use an Italian side-by-side (12 bore).
