The Bible speaks for itself. Some believe you cannot prove it, well, they never tried to actually look at what's written there. The whole ministry of Jesus including his death and resurrection was a great achievement as far as fulfillment of the OT prophecies concerning God's Messiah is concerned.

hmm.. lets see.. since i can say right off i have read the bible and i was christian for a long time.. when i had questions.. i was told to read the good book and there were no answers..
that said i looked to other faiths.. since there are lots that have been around alot longer.. I found Wicca.. alot of the stuff in the bible was taken from the pagan religions to convert them
the only accurate prophecies are those of Nostradamus.. but they are vague and can be interpreted by the reader..
So when it comes to Jesus and God.. i have little belief.. there are what 20-ish years missing from his life.. and no explanation..

Understand, divine means God like, or has the qualities of God.
When we say God is Divine, or the cake was divine.
We aren't saying 'God is God, or the cake is God.
We are saying that God has the qualities of God, and the cake is heavenly.
Jesus is divine in that he is the exact representation of the invisible God.
If we believe that Jesus is more than an image, that his glory is greater than a Son, then we are being blinded by Satan.
2 Cor 4:4Â among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

Then along comes someone with perfect knowledge of the scriptures who wants to start a cult of his own. How hard would it be in that time to just SAY that all those prophecies were fulfilled. There were no witnesses at Mary's conception. There were no records of his upbringing. Exactly what was fulfilled that is valid?

Yet the people who wrote the OT don't believe for a minute that Jesus fulfilled any of the prophecies.

The Gospels were written a minimum of 30 years after Jesus's death. Anything could have been written to make them fit prophecies (which the Jews themselves believe are about Israel, not Jesus).

There have been so many things predicted by so many people that have come true that have absolutely nothing to do with ol' Jesus...doesn't mean you're about to follow suit and become a devout follower does it?

The Angel said to me, "These are dependable and accurate words, every one. The God and Master of the spirits of the prophets sent his Angel to show his servants what must take place, and soon. And tell them, 'Yes, I'm on my way!' Blessed be the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

When writing the books of the new testament, the writers used much of the old testament to make it appear that some prophecies were fulfilled.

Martian dude, you ignore all the other prophecies and attack that one.
Have you even read those passages to yourself, or are you googling and copying and paste to "refute" anything.
Save the embarrassment and read them and understand them before you make other atheists look bad.
