Ever hear of the FURminator?? It's actually cheaper on www.qvc.com instead of the actual FURminator website.

You might also consider going to your pet supply store and getting NOSHED it's a pill you give to your dog daily to cut down on shedding.

Also change the dog food to something that contains OMEGA 3 & OMEGA 6 which are fish oil, they help with the dog's coat and give it a healthy shine.

A good quality diet high in protein has been shown to help.
Get a grooming glove (rubber with little "nubs" on it) or a rubber brush and use it every day. A dish washing or latex glove works well, too.
Bathe once a week with gentle shampoo.
Pugs are going to shed no matter what you do. Buy a lint roller and a good vacuum :)

There are several reasons why dog shed, hot weather , bad nutrition and nervousness. My dog is constantly shedding but is on a proper diet, yes it is hot and is a balanced dog. I vacuum one a week and I fill it up 3 times. I just live with it because I love my dog.

I noticed a big difference in my dog when I changed his diet. I couldn't get his usual diet, so got one I thought might be okay...turns out the brand was cr*p and the next time I bathed him, the plughole got clogged with fur! His usual food is great for a healthy coat, it is one that I got from my veterinary surgery. It is specially designed to nourish the coat and is suitable for dogs that are allergic to things like lamb, beef and chicken and boy, did I notice the difference in my dog! I believe it is soy based...Think it was called 'Addiction Zen vegetarian dry diet.'

Pugs are very heavy shedders, especially during the summertime. Keeping her brushed regularly is about the best thing you can do.

Is she spayed by any chance? In some dog breeds, the females will "blow out" their coats every time they go into heat.
