It depends. There are lots of terms including: putters, drivers, woods, irons, clubs, wedges and so on. The general term for all the "sticks" is "club" but depending on how far you are hitting the ball and in what situation you may use different clubs. For example, when a person first hits the ball (and from the farthest away from the intended target) they usually use a driver which is also sometimes a wood. If a person is very close to the hole (within twenty yard or so) they use a putter. For hitting the ball a distance in between really far away and really close people tend to use clubs called irons which have different numbers on them for the different amount of angle the "head" is formed at. A wedge helps them get the ball out of tough terrain such as sand and large tufts of grass. Hope this helps!

The generic term is golf club or sometimes stick.
The individual clubs are grouped into irons (numbered 1 through to 9), wedges (sand, pitching, probably others I can't think of) woods (1 to 5 or 6), (1 woods are often called drivers) and putters. There are new clubs out that are a kind of hybrid between the iron and wood but I don't know anything about them.
