I feel the need to debate certain things with people as I feel that their beliefs & faith are affecting the basic rights of other people.

Is this always true?

Probably not always true ... But people do tend to act out of what they believe to be true and right.

No. You don't need to debate anything. It's not your job to spend your time getting folks to convert. Your beliefs will not always impose a change in another. The bible speaks about hardhearted folks. So you can talk and talk and talk and talk, with no results. It's the word that gets them to change their tone not you. Aethists has the right to say what they feel as well as muslims, Protestants, Baptists, and what not.
I would not spend my time debating others rights. Leave it be. We could be affecting someone's rights by saying what we say if thats the case....And never debate in front of mixed company if you follow me....calm down and save the fire for the ones who need it the most...those who don't know and want to know....

I would say greater than 95% of the time.

The beliefs of radicals, rest on the tacit beliefs of moderates.
