following u around without running off being very loyal to u i m thinking about a sheltie since they r soo smart and trainible. and ya i will keap him leashed but untill he will be trainted to follow me unleashed like everybody elses dog where i live. so is a sheltie a good way to go for this?

Yes, a Sheltie would be a good choice if you have the time and energy for one. Any of the herding breeds are loyal and will stay with you and not run off, if they are trained of course. Border Collies, Aussies, Cattle Dogs, Corgis are all good obedient breeds. All also need lots of training and lots of exercise as herding dogs are very high energy and the intelligence will get them in trouble if they get bored or don't get enough exercise.

Sheltie is a good breed, another very loyal breed is a Queensland Heeler. They are larger and can be almost to smart.

A lab is a very obedient dog. My neighbor had one which
was old and died about a year ago. They got a puppy ,which looks exactly like the dog that died, and it follows the man whereever he goes. It will not go out of their yard.

They are an excellent dog! However, they are a high maintenance dog. They require a lot of play and exercise. They are not a good dog to be confined, tied up, and leashed.

you need a labrador.....
we have one and they can understand up to 300 commands and they are so loveable and protective.
