Don't think about the breakup because that's a negative. Instead think about where you want to go, what you want to do etc. You must frame your affirmations in a positive manner.

So really, only you can answer your own question well.

I could offer lots of affirmations and quotes and such, but would they really help you if you don't believe they relate to you right now? I think not. I think what is more important is that you need to know WHOSE you are and WHO you are and re-establish yourself with you. Make sense? A lot of times when we love, we submerge who we are and almost disintegrate. The powders of grandules that was once us, is no more. And then the relationship ends and those powdered, burnt ashes need to rise again like the giant Phoenix! Sweetheart - do what you need to do in order to get touch with yourself. Start with prayer. Affirm that you are a special and unique individual made by the very hands of God and when you were created, he made you his child and gifted you with purpose, anointings, talents and a free will to go about doing good. Those things that you laid by the wayside - pick them up again. Find community activities that you can enjoy - help people (nursing homes, hospitals, are longing for volunteers to read, write and just be visible to the families there). Go back to school. Learn an instrument. Write in a journal. Change your hairdo. Get your nails and feet done. Get a massage. Go book shopping. Get into some real juicy books. Read your Bible - and these are two of my most favorite passages: ICorn 13th Chapter - is often called "The Love Chapter" - Read what real love is about. See how you fit into that and then work on you. Then read Chapter 4 of Philippians - verse 4-9. Rejoice in the Lord always - (no matter what your circumstances, don't drown in your sorrow - find something you can rejoice about. Life is for the living!) Then continue to read through verse 9. Whatever you know to be true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report - think on these things! and then verse 19 - God shall supply your need according to his riches in glory. He is always with us - even in our times of trouble and sorrow - and only he can restore the real joy in us. Be patient- and be true to yourself. Cry if you need to - but don't drown in the tears - get yourself a dance and dance until you find the joy and peace return to you. My prayers are with you.

"That which does not kill us makes us stronger." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

"When love beckons to you follow him,

Though his ways are hard and steep.

And when his wings enfold you yield to him,

Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you believe in him,

Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.

Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,

So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.

He threshes you to make you naked.

He sifts you to free you from your husks.

He grinds you to whiteness.

He kneads you until you are pliant;

And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast."

~ Kahlil Gibran, _The Prophet_
