When I confessed my sins to the Lord, asked his forgiveness I became a "born again" Christian. (As in John 3:16) I became a NEW person in Him. I accepted Him in my life as my Lord & Savior. I ask for His will & guidence daily.
I cannot imagine not having the Lord in my life today. There are so many situations that come in our lives daily that without Him, I honestly could not begin to cope. It's a wonderful feeling to KNOW when things are to the point of being unbearable in my life today, I can ask Him to "carry me thru". I turn my will & life over to Him. I trust Him, without Him I am nothing. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God does answer our prayers. He's NEVER let me down, He's Someone I can completely trust & put my faith in. I love the poem "Footprints" because I've used it so many times throughout my life. Just the thought of going to Heaven & living thru eternity w/Him & all my loved ones who are waiting there for me & my Christian loved ones. I recently lost my 14 yr. old Granddaughter, the sudden loss was devistating. I could not have gone thru it w/o the Lord's help. BUT, the most comforting thing to all of us was that she gave her heart to the Lord. We KNOW where she is. We KNOW we w/see her again. On her "My Space", her "Hero" was JESUS...I told my son & family, what 14 yr. old girl has her hero as JESUS! Yes, we are looking forward to seeing her again in a better place than where we now are. Why wouldn't ANYONE not want to be a Christian?! With the way the world is today, I say "come Lord" take us all out of this caiotic world, away from hate, wars, all the devil's works. I truly believe we are living in the "last days". God's word is being revieled to us. My Dad was a preacher. All the things he preached about are coming to pass. I want to be "ready" when He comes. I am ready to meet Him & I live for that day. I CANNOT imagine living my life w/o the Lord. I thank Him for saving me & offering me eternal life. There just is NO other way! Not for me anyway...

one should become a Christian because the Christian faith states that there is salvation in none other than the LORD Jesus Christ (see Acts 4:12). one not only should, but will become a Christian if God is drawing them, (see John 6:44).
As far as what does it mean to be a Christian, note:
"And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." - Acts 11:26.
quite literally, if we look at the word Christian, in the original Greek, "Christianos" it means follower of Christ, so to be a Christian means to follow the example of how Jesus lived, to the best of our ability.

If you want to go to Heaven, you should become a Christian.
What it means to be a Christian is to have a personal relationship with God and to serve Him for the rest of your life.

Why: To take away all the lies of this world, to remove all fears of what is coming or what the future will bring, to find an inner peace which all true Christians posses through their love and understanding of our Lord/Savior Jesus Christ. To feel the joy of having a family & home that no one here could ever take away or destroy!
What does it mean: To follow the teachings of our lord Jesus Christ is to understand that everything that you could possibly collect/earn here really means nothing of value. That teaching and helping others find their way to the light, helping others to become the best that they could be is what our goals should be, teaching and learning from one another helping everyone called be the best person possible. One family full of hope, love, charity, understanding, patients, a bright future!

A Christian is just a person who knows Jesus and follows him. I would say the best reason to become a Christian is because your Creator loves you and wants to have a relationship with you.

I've been brought up as a Christian and I cannot live without my faith thats why I dont question it,in April of this year I lost my only brother and I was really cut up for my Mother and Father it was devestating, but for our faith I dont think we would have done that,so thats why I feel sorry for people who do not believe, life is short so you never know what will happen tpday or tommorow so you must always be prepared for the future and thats why you can only place your trust in God.

Becoming a Christian does NOT assure personal happiness or success...(as some televangelists claim) sometimes some Christians go through REALLY tough circumstances (look at the life of the Apostle Paul!!) To become a Christian, one should ask what they want for this life & the one to come.
For there is clear evidence that we are eternal. (It just depends on where you wish to spend that "eternity"?)
God has placed us in this limited body so that we may learn the "why's" of obediance to an All Mighty God, and what the consequences are of choosing to be apart from the Lord (and doing things "your own way" and what they will eventually accomplish. in other words total self-annilation, destruction, death, sorrow, sickness...ect)
Personally I want to be wherever Love, goodness, happiness, health joy, compassion..etc..are!
I KNOW to be in a place such as that I MUST obey the "rules" and I CHOOSE to do so, not only for my benefit but for the benefit of my brothers & sisters & all creation.
But there are those that want things "their way" without following rules..that even though it leads to nothing but heartache & sorrow & suffering...STILL they want to be in those circumstances. (Only THEY know why?)
God, because He LOVES us SOOO much has given us FREE WILL & the ability to make a choice.
I choose to follow Christ, because I KNOW where He leads!
We ALL follow someone..or something....
I would ask one & all ...do you know who YOUR following?

Some may say that being a christian is being a part of the religion called " Christianity"
This may be well and true to most but truly, to be a christian has much more to do than that.
Seeing that we are men and women made in God's image and likeness as vessels to contain and express God is the key. Being just an imitator of God will not last. God has had a desire since eternity past to create man according to Him so that this man can one day call upon the Name of Jesus and receive God into Him as Life and his life supply.
To be a christian is to have Christ in you. To have Christ expressed in your life and your living. God is not interested in you trying to do something in your own strength or in a religious way to please Him. He wants you to open up your being to Him so that He can do His good work in you. For it is God who works in us both the willing and the doing for His good pleasure.
Being a christian simply means to let go and let God. Let Him have a way to spread in you, tranform you inwardly into all that He is. That as you continue to behold and reflect as a mirror, His glory with an unveiled face you will slowly be transformed into the same image from glory to glory even as from the Lord who is the Spirit. Hallelujah!
Together as believers who have this Life and Nature of God, we build up His CHurch to be His Body on this earth. He is our glorious ascended Head in the Heavens and we are here on the earth as the ONE NEW MAN.. the Bride.. His reproduction and fulness .. carrying out His interest and purpose in all the earth.
Its not just about me individually.. its about me as a part of SOMEONE huge. Christ and His Body.

One should become a Christian, because it's philosophy takes you to the understanding of the God (to me Krishn).
Being a Christian means, loving Christ. Loving Christ means loving a saint, and through him God.
But humbleness is the key.
