I am uploading a .wav file to myspace for my band and it won't allow me to use a .wav file and it has to be in MP3 form.

If you have itunes, put it in there, go edit: preferences, then click the heading advanced, the subheading importing, and select import using MP3 encoder. Click ok and then right click on the song and click convert to mp3.
