Alright, I know that hairless is kinda weird but i don't care which is better for a busy family or is there any difference at all? By hairy i mean with hair ,not like cousin IT

Since rats are social critters who are much happier when they have another rat to hang with, you could always have 1 of each. Actually, 1 of our girl rats is hairless & her buddy is furry. It's so cute to watch them snuggle or play together.
I thought hairless rats would be bizarre-looking when I 1st heard of them, but when I saw pictures I realized how cute they are. I've heard that hairless sometimes get dry skin but you can massage them with olive oil.
It's funny that you mentioned Cousin Itt-- that's who our guinea pig reminds everybody of, lol.

Hairless and furred both make great pets. Hairless need a bit more care, but not too much more! Hairless need some kind of a hammock in their cage to sleep on. They aren't comfy sleeping on aspen shavings, but love to snuggle up in some cloth hanging from the top or side of the cage. Hairless tend to need a bit more protein in their diets. If you get them soy-yogurt treats for rodents and give them a smidge of chicken once or twice a week that should cover it. Hairless often are very social, but sometimes they don't like to snuggle as much as the furred ones do. My hairless guys love to sit on my shoulder, but don't like tickles as much as the other guys. So it depends on your family. Either way, rats are great pets! :0)

Thier both the same. Although if you want people to see your rat then get hairy, people for some odd odd reason dislike hairless rats.

I only buy hairless... about once a month for my snake... she just loves them...
