I don't know where to start, but I guess I'll start by saying she's just a flat-out, self-centered *****. I have a car and a license (neither of which she has) so I always take her and her friends places when they ask and sometimes I even offer. The other night, her friend was staying over, and my sister asked me to take them to Whataburger to grab a bite to eat. Well, I had just got home from work and I was super exhausted. My answer was inevitably "No, I'm sorry, I would if I wasn't so tired", and here is what she says to that-"You probably wouldn't be so tired if you weren't always with your UGLY boyfriend, so just get out of my life cuz you never do anything for me." Please someone tell me what do.

You happen to have a very self centered, rude little sister. If I were you it would be a cold day in (you know where), before I would take her anyplace again.

This is all about manipulation and attempts at dominance.
This is normal for all kid sisters. She will naturally act-out to get his way. They will try to insult or guilt you into things. The hormones kicking in make them even meaner.

The only thing you can do is tell her, "Look, if you are going to act that way, I don't care to put up with you! I will only put up with nice people." Then walk away... go to your room or go for a walk around the block to blow off the stress. If you refuse to get baited into her game, she will eventually get the idea. Just remember that you hold all the cards. You can choose your battles.

You can also offer the carrot-and-stick approach... we've just gone over the "stick". You can also "reward" her in some way... perhaps allowing her to wear something of yours or take her shopping or something like that.

If your kid sister likes to get into your things, I would suggest limiting her access to these things. Either go to the hardware store to buy a keyed locking doorknob for your bedroom door or your closet door (to make it into a "safe"). It does not take much to change out the doorknobs. You wear the key on a chain around your neck and keep your room locked at all times. This is your territory.

wow, thats a little harsh. i'd go talk to her and tell her, "look i am really sorry i couldnt take you the other night. i was just really tired but you had no right to say i dont do anything for you because i do. if you say i dont do anything for you then i wont. i wont take you and your friends places i wont even take you places but i dont want that. i really do like spending time with you. how about we go to whataburger just the two of us."

good luck and best wishes
XOXO

She is a very self- centered little twit. My own thought is just refuse to cart her and her friends around anymore. She's a user. Let her learn what being responsible means.

why are you giving into her..or letting her words hurt you. she is very immature and you need to tell her that if she wants any favours from you..she needs to start respecting you and being a little more thankful...that goes a long way. you're indulging her behaviour

if she felt that way towards me and said those awful things to me,my actions would be simple....i would never do anything for her ever again. And if she asked me for a favor i would remind her of the things she said to me.Maybe if you stopped helping her out, she'll understand how mean and cruel she was being and treat you better.
