The screams from my kids when they hear the music is more annoying.

Did you ever go to a wedding in the 70's? Were you even alive? I went to about a hundred. They did not sound like an ice cream truck. Yes its annoying, but get your facts straight before you start whining.

I think wedding cakes used to typically be ice cream cakes, catered by the Ice Cream truck guy,in the 70s..

They really do need to step up the music,though...maybe not death metal, but something a little more contemporary..I think most parents agree that anything highlighting Iggy Pop,like for instance the "Stooges", would be a very good choice....Just kiddin'

Here in Topeka, Kansas - one of our ice cream trucks drives around playing Christmas songs all summer long. I think that should be a sin. Christmas music on the 4th of July is just not right!

Wedding music? The icecream trucks I've heard sound like a merry-go-round.

I dont even remember the sound.. The only time I heard it was when I was a child while staying with my grandparents who lived in a large city. Nothing like that here where I live in the south way out in the country.

The ones around here - they play for a few minutes, then the music pauses and you hear a loud "HELLO!" Then the music starts again.
My dogs howl everytime those things go by.

The song that's played by ours is "Rock a bye Baby"...Why? I don't know but I usually fall asleep before I get to the darn truck.
