So, my now x-bf of 4.5 years picks stupid fights. Here is an example, tell me if you think it's bs, or if i'm wrong:
My dad's b-day was coming up. Family tradition to go out to eat and have cake. He has never wanted to come with me. Which is sad to me, but have come to accept it. When i told him my dad's b-day was coming up, he said 'good, i'll have a day to myself, i have lots of stuff to do', i said ok.
Then, on that day, he called me and was all upset because i didn't care enough to make plans with him before or after my family gathering. Which i always do, but not this time 'cause he said he wanted to take all day to do his pending stuff. I explained why, but he just repeated that i don't care, and that everything comes before him. What the hell!!, right?
I ask 'cause now he's making me feel like i dumped him for no real reason aside from just not loving him. I feel like he was pushing me to break up with him, but now he says if it were up to him we would be together.

He sounds selfish and immature. Not every person is meant to stay in our lives for a lifetime. Some are meant to show us how to be better people, how to avoid the same mistakes and some are meant to be with us on and off for the occassional push in the right direction.
He sounds like he was meant to come in your life so you'd know how to recognize another selfish man when you see one and know to run like hell.
Why does it bother you what he thinks, none of it should really if you have truly moved on.

There is something seriously wrong with this relationship.
After 4.5 years, he should be part of the family or at least treated like it and acting like it.
After 4.5 years, he should not be acting like a little jealous baby about you spending time with your family.
After 4.5 years and no marriage proposal, you should have left him after 3 years.

Guys always do **** like that, I dont know why! But yeah hes wrong, just tell him he said he was happy to have the day to himself so you let him and if he thinks you dont care then thats his problem because he has to know you care. Good luck!:]

he sounds like a jerk and like he is just trying to confuse you for the fun of it. Forget him. 4.5 years is a long time and by then he should know you well enough... and it sounds to me that you know him well enough for figuring out his bs.
