It won't be the overriding factor for my vote. I don't think there should be an outright, penalty free amnesty, but some path towards legalization with some reasonable penalties is the only sensible way to figure out who's here without creating the horribly destructive shock to the economic system that would result from several million workers disappearing in a short time period. Even if you think there are unemployed Americans who could and would do those jobs if the salary were right (and there aren't, because there are probably more illegals than unemployed people), rapid economic changes like this lead to recessions.

I will vote for any candidate who supports a pragmatic solution (amnesty is involved in that at least partially) to the immigration issue. It just is not good for America to deport this massive working group. Imagine if we just randomly took 1 million workers out of the economy...it would be baaaad. Let's be a little bit pragmatic about the situation people

The DEMS and their buddies at the ACLU, and now evidently the AFL-CIO have blown It big time on this... There Is NO WAY that ANY DEMOCRAT will win the Presidency while EMBRACING ILLEGALS and thumbing their noses at their own AMERICAN constituents....

the two events will do it if the companies finance their campaigns. the companies are those hiring those unlawful extraterrestrial beings. the only factor that fairly bothers me approximately letting illegals in, is that in the event that they carry about the deadly cartel battles with them.

Sure will. Even conservatives beloved President Reagan passed an amnesty law, and it's about time for another one. Bush just lacks the political clout right now to push it through his own party.

those who will benefit such as certain business owners, illegals who are somehow allowed to vote, people like geraldo rivera, poverty pimps like jesse jackson, and any other libs. in rare cases politics make strange bed fellows, in this case, it does because the libs such as jackson and his ilk rarely have anything to do with business owners. the number is actually quite high. as well as the percentage. that is unfortunate for those who hate to see illegal trespassing [illegal aliens] get citizenship as a reward for their crime of breaking in [to america!]

Its just a word. Some form of amnesty is inevitable. We do it for tax penalties all the time.
