You don't have to worry about that. Just feed her puppy food for the extra protein and nutrients.

How do you know what she is missing? How do you know what she needs? And how much?

The answer to all of these questions is "you don't know" so don't give your dog any extras. Excessive vitamins and minerals can be dangerous.

Feed her a natural high quality food e.g. raw meat, edible bones and offal. This diet has everything your dog needs - proteins, calcium, minerals etc - all from natural and digestible sources. Dogs fed on this prey model diet have healthy pups with less health problems and interventions than commercial fed dogs. The only change you will need to make is to provide smaller more frequent meals has the pups grow.

The pups can start out on this diet too at about 4 weeks..

I would think about a prenatal vitamin for dogs.
They sell them at petshop. I also would give her extra
calcium. When my dog had puppies, i fed her Iam's
puppy food and when they puppies where about 2 weeks old
I had to rush her to the vet, she was having muscle cramps from low calcium so bad it looked like siezures. She was given calcium and completely recovered. However I thought i was feeding a good dog food. The vet said they usually always need more calcium when nursing. Hope this helps you.

Go to the vet, he/she can give you the best idea about the vitamins to feed her. There may be some in a pet supply store near you; they can give you some idea of what's most appropriate for her. Start giving it to her ASAP, she needs the extra nutrition from now until she weans her puppies.

Try using Dick Van Paton's dog food it's for all life stages: including pregnant and lactating dogs. My family's dogs love, the people a the boarding kennel even said when must be feeding them good food since they said our dogs have nice coats.
