we broke up 4 years ago, i am in a long term relationship with a guy i adore, but every now and then, usually when i havent thought of him in a while i dream of my ex, The thing is, although i know that that relationship is long over, i wake up happy so happy and when i realise its a dream not real i am sad, i have this overwhelming feeling that we are soulmates and meant to be together, then slowly i forget and life go's on as normal untill the next dream about him, it seems that there is always a reminder of him just when i am letting go, this has been going on since a year after we broke up for the last 3 years, i have been with my current b/f for 3/4 years>???

Maybe it is more about your current boyfriend then your ex. Might it is a gut feeling that something is right with this one and your mind can't override your heart so it uses your dream to try to get through. That is why you wake up so happy. That is why you can't forget him. Why aren't you that happy with your CURRENT BF?

Even though u like the bf u have now, something still in your mind has feelings for that other dude u broke up 4 years ago with. Dont fear, its normal! Try getting in touch with him and see how his life is going, and maybe you will have less feelings for him if you know and what he is now and what he isnt 4 years ago. If you like him even more and cant take your mind off of him, think. Think, do I like him or the person I am seeing now? A pro and cons comparision usually helps for me. Good luck!!

I'm getting a feeling from your dream that it is a "grass is greener on the other side" kind of a situation, or perhaps some kind of guilt over the break up, that seems to have begun once you started moving on....

this happens to me lots. i grew to become into with a guy for a 300 and sixty 5 days in the previous we broke up, and for sort of three months, I continuously had desires of him, no count number if I merely considered him or the place i actually talked to him. I asked my grandmother and she or he suggested this is possible this is a fashion of me letting flow. Others have instructed me they could probable be issues that could desire to take place sooner or later, counting on the dream.

be glad it's just a dream...
don't mind it, not if you still long for him.
if you keep thinking or making an issue with your dreams, then you are putting him back into your life..
get over with it, if you dream about him, let him be just on your dreams and not your thoughts even if you're awake...
if you ignore those dreams, eventually it would be out of the picture...
