When the bible talks about sinning against the Holy Spirit and that sin not being forgiven is just talking about not accepting Jesus and not wanting to repent, there for you are sinning against the Holy Ghost since the Holy Spirit is the one that convinces us of sin, if we don't accept hi/its calling it's like sinning against him. And it's unpardonable because we wanted it that way, we refused to listen and be forgiven, as simple as that. Don't worry, if there is a heart that is willing to ask for forgiveness it will be forgiven, regardless of what sin was committed. That shows what a loving God we have. Amen.

there is a huge difference between an experienced christian deliberately defying God ... and a struggling christian repeatedly falling because of weakness.
each one has consequences ...if not dealt with and remedied.
but my experience is that God has a lot less patience with the first than he does with the second.
my understanding is ...sin against the Holy Ghost can only be done by a person that clearly knows the truth ...or knew it at one time and walked in the truth ...and accepted the life that repentance and salvation provide .
but ...for whatever reason they turn their back on God ...and reject Him...or repeatedly and deliberately ignore his instructions ...and choose to rebel.
...satan is a good example ...he was known as the light bearer in heaven ...he had all the understanding he needed to make his own decisions ...he decided to take the glory that only God deserves ...and refused to repent...he knew clearly that he was rebelling ...and chose to do it anyway.
God does not cut a person off without giving them fair warning ...and usually more than once...saul knew the rules and had been warned by samuel already ...he committed the same sin that satan committed ...he took on a ministry that was delegated to someone else by God ...without permission ...and knew it was wrong.
i heard one preacher say ...if you wonder if you've committed the unpardonable sin ...you havent ...because you still have a conscience...when God takes his spirit out of a person ...they have no conscience.
the solution to your dillemma ...be transformed ...through the renewing of your mind ,,,by the washing of the word of God ...read the bible often ...asking God to reveal the truth that you need for today ...get in front of good preaching ...the lord said ..."i will keep in perfect peace ...him who's mind is stayed on me ...select bible passages and stories that deal with your specific challenge ...and pray ...asking God to help you plant the lessons from the words deep inside of you ...it works ...i've done it...and dont get frustrated ...do it ...just like you would take a perscription twice a day for however long the doctor perscribed ...until the sickness is gone.
and at the same time...determine in your heart to follow God.
if you know it's sin ...dont do it ...if you sin confess it immediately ...it is a daily struggle for all of us ...but dont fear and dont give up ...i'm praying for you ...
God bless you

Iv'e seen this question addressed here before. I'll see if I can find it.
Here it is. I couldn't say it any better:
"Although overconscientiousness or a weak physical condition may prompt us to believe that we have sinned against the holy spirit, for which there is no forgiveness, it is not we ourselves or any human who makes that determination but Jehovah God himself. If we are deeply grieved over our sin and truly repentant, Jehovah can and will forgive even the most heinous sins. Consider David, who committed fornication, plotted to hide the sin, then arranged for the husband of the woman to be killed in battle so that he could take her as wife. Because of his heartfelt repentance, he was forgiven.(2Samuel 11: 1-27) Peter denied Christ 3 times. He was grieved and cut to the heart over this sin. (Mark 14:66-72; Luke 22:62) He was forgiven. It is not what kind of sin but the motive, heart condition, and degree of willfulness involved that determines whether a sin is forgivable or not"

the final blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is very final melancholy on the very final 2d of existence. All different sins against the Holy Ghost are forgivable as much as that component. subsequently, all sins against God could desire to be prevented regardless notwithstanding if this is totally against the Holy Spirit.

If you still care about having committed this sin, then you didn't.
It is the Holy Spirit ONLY who creates faith is us by God's Word. And it is the Holy Spirit who convicts (makes us aware of sin) when we are getting too far from God.
When the Holy Spirit is gone......there is no desire to be with God.

I think there are 3 ways. First is to not accept Jesus as Lord. Two is cursing the Holy Spirit, and third, If you attribute the work of the Holy Spirit to the devil.
I would say that if you are worried about it, then you haven't done it.

you would know because you would reject God and His love. if you haven't then no worries for you my friend. You repent and you are forgiven.
just because you question whether you have blashpemed the Holy Spirit or not doesn't mean you have done it. it PROVES that you HAVE NOT. it proves you are seeking God's love and do not want to be turned away! that's what it's about ...believe and you are saved!

By saying the Holy Spirit doesn't exist, means to blaspheme Him. If you're concerned, it's likely you haven't done this, dear one.
Thanks RB, you explained it much better than I did! :-)
