...would this prove the idea of Karma? I think I'd lose voluntary control of all my body functions.

Dawn K... Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? I'm not talking about the grand scheme of things. Just sick of being told I'm going to hell because of the person I love. Let's call this me being utterly and wonderfully SELFISH...

Honestly, it is a theory that Homophobes are closet homosexuals. There was a study done once, straight normal guys and homophobes were shown gay adult films. While the normal straight guys were either moderately turned on, accelarated heart rate, erection, etc. or not at all; the homophobes were extremely aroused, full erections, very fast heart beat, etc. They hate gays so much because they hate the fact that they themselves have gay tendancies.

One theory has suggested that Adolf Hitler was a homosexual, but this has not been verified factually.

Post this in the religion and spirituality section because you're preaching to the choir. It's a great point though. I always wonder why people believe i would choose to be gay when it's been the thing about me which has been most attacked and challenged by others. I would never choose that if i had a choice, especially when i was the age i was when i came out. If you do re post this in the R&S section then just be prepared for a bunch of nonsensical religious preaching and arguments like "It's just wrong" and "It's unnatural" or, my favourite "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve". :-)

Well I am really glad, then that those people have not developed an unavoidable attraction. I would not like to be near you if they ever do.

By the way, whenever that happens, that will definitely prove the idea of Karma. For sure.

Some homophobes/gay bashers already have an unavoidable attraction for the same sex. They just can't handle the concept of it, so they have to take out their insecurities on others.

I think some church folks already have suddenly developed an unavoidable attraction for the same sex... But I don't know if they were gay bashers or whatever.

Worse, much worse, some of them have suddenly developed urges for perversions of the (under-age) nasty kind, I saw something in the local news recently...

I am not a homophobe and I do not bash gays but my answer is no. I do not think that gays would like that too. That would be a too much of a karma anyway. : )

It's my opinion that every homophobe and gay basher *is* a latent homosexual who resorts to violence as a result of pent-up self-loathing.

That kinda sucks, but ya know, we usually are most annoyed by those qualities in others which we also share but do not like about ourselves.

This is the problem with today's mentality - Who gives a rats a--?
It is none of our - my - and even your business, does this help the hungry? Does this save the Oceans? Does this help the elderly? Does it help our homeless? Does it even have an in-sight? Does it even matter in the great big scheme of things?

Unfortunately it would not, because the idea of Karma, as far as I understand it is that in your current life you enact what you need to get over. So a homophobe in fact probably was a homosexual in his former life. Just to get the full experience of life on earth. Weird, isn't it? Karma is not only about getting better but experiencing first hand the full range of human nature. And when I say first hand I mean it. :-)

I don't think it would prove Karma, but close! One thing for sure, the human race would die out in 80 or so years.
