Evil only has powers over the flesh, not the soul. To learn this is to discriminate between mere sensation and real spiritual goodness. Unfortunately most people would rather take the 'quick hit', than the hard work of real lasting spiritual achievement.

Evil is powerful because 'it' is given power to be so. Instead of 'it', you could say 'he'; evil is embodied. He is called 'the prince of the powers of the air' or Satan (as a former angel of light; Lucifer) and he is very powerful; so powerful that even the angels of heaven do not speak of him lightly. But be of good cheer~ stronger is He that is in you than he that is in the world (if you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of your life).

For anything to have power it must by given energy. Evil is powerful because there are those that will fuel it.

Evil has no power it generates only in the minds of men and women.

It isn't. It's only powerful in the lives of those who practice evil.

It doesn't exist. What you have here is a form, that form is evil, and on its archetype are compiled huge lists of functions that are appropriately placed in separate categories. Evil is an obsolete form, and should be done away with. The new categories, mental illness, societal status quo, indifference, fear-inspired non-action, all better describe each and every function of evil. It seems so powerful because you put so much information in there.

The power of evil, unmitigated, is stronger than the power of good, unexpressed.
Many people have good in their heart, but not in their actions. Not in what they do, or say to each other. It is unexpressed.
This is why evil, unmitigated, is stronger than the power of good, unexpressed.
I will give you an example: if you place a rotten apple into a bag of good apples, the good apples are unable to transfer their goodness to the rotten one. But the rotten one quite easily spreads the infection, rot and mold to the good ones.
This is why goodness must always be expressed; as St. Paul said, "faith without works is dead."

Well, there are some benefits to being evil

Try this:

1.)Strap a volunteer (or someone that you volunteered) onto a table

2.)Start a laser that will slowly move toward their midsection

3.)Locate a mirror

4.)Position the mirror so that you can see yourself, the table, and the laser

5.)Repeat the following:

*snort*hmm hmm hmm Ho ho mmm Ha HA MWA HA HA HA HA! I CANNOT POSSIBLY FAIL!

6.)Watch as the person you strapped to the table performs a daring last minute escape (and dispatches any assistance you had in forcibly volunteering the vic-volunteer)

7.)Escape yourself to perform more dastardly deeds in the future

Repeat those seven steps until you feel better

It isn't. It's just easier than love.

And people are all about the easy way out. So evil seems more powerful because it deceives people into thinking it is the easier way than loving.

(Or some people seem to think it's the "sexier" way, sad to say.)
