some fillings are not permanent, if they are white, then they weren't permanent, but if they were silver colored then they were meant to stay in until the dentist decides to change then after a couple of years

your dentist probably used the fillings so that way the root canal would heal better and not get infected, or food in the tooth, so they were probably temporary
check with your dentist to see which ones he used

The endodontist probably placed a temporary filling in the tooth until either:
a~ the rooth canal procedure is completed
or
b~ the procedure is completed and you now need to see your regular dentist, after the recommended healing time, for either a core or post & core for the tooth and an eventual crown.

If any of the temporary filling material comes out, it's usually not a big deal since quite a bit is used.

Make sure you keep your appointments, even though your tooth feels alot better.......

At worst, you could get an infection in that tooth.

More likely, nothing will happen.

Still, best to get to your dentist and have the filling replaced ASAP.

That happened to me. Saltwater taffy was the enemy. I had to go to the dentist and have a new filling put in.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE THIS TOOTH CROWNED, IF IT'S A PERMANENT ONE BECAUSE IT WILLGET BRITTLE. IF THIS WAS A BABY TOOTH WHICH HAD A PULPOTOMY, THERE IS NO GRAVE DANGER, AND THE FILLING SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH A PERMANENT ONE.
