I don't know that any other planets can support life now. Jesus said he went to prepare a place for us to move; the "many mansions in heaven". What or where those mansions are, I don't know either. I just know since Jesus prepares it, it is better than I can imagine.

I think the entire earth and heavens will be restored - in Revelations "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."
I believe that the other planets in the universe could support animal and plant life, but not life that praises God, such as man. Some says that the city of New Jerusalem about 1500 miles high could act as a space station also. Would it be far fetched to believe that people living in eternity would have eternity to explore the galaxies of the universe?

Hmmm that's an interesting one.
I don't believe in God, so don't really expect any restoration but from a religious perspective, if God is going to restore the earth to perfection, doesn't that also mean he is going to have to do something about the sun aging and handle all the space debris that is on an eventual collision course with the earth?
I think if you are a true believer you must believe that he is going to reverse time somehow on a consistant basis.

The earth will not be restored under god. The "end times", or death of humanity, will occur when our sun swells because it runs out of fuel in some four billion years. (Or maybe we'll kill ourselves off sooner, I don't know.) Anyway, the expansion of the sun will engulf all the inner planets, including earth. None of the other planets have life on them anyway. So Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will still be there but Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars will not. Life and god are irrelevant in scientific matters.

Chances are....the other planets will remain the same. There are already planets that have creatures with mindal will. We just don't have scientific proof of it yet.
Earth's spiritual circuits are currently severed because of the rebellion which occurred with Lucifer and his associates. When we are reconnected to the circuits, then earth will be restored under God's guidance, if it is his will to do so.

Who told you God was going to restore the earth?
What prophet are you reading?
That sounds like Jehovah's Witness theology.
If other planets were "gone," earth itself would be in trouble...because that would mean there is a heck of a lot of debris in space...that could hit earth.

The truth is Tony nobody really knows. What we do know is that God's purpose for the Earth is to be filled with life (human, animal, plant). Under perfect conditions. As brought out in Revelations (it's part of the bible too people all you have to do is read it) after Armageddon, after the wicked are destroyed including Satan after the thousand year reign of Christ there are to be new "scrolls" opened by God. Now what these new scrolls are and what they might pertain to nobody knows as of yet. That's something I wondered myself. Maybe God after the Earth is to his liking will have man inhabit other planets and do the same to them. Who knows lets just hope that you and me (and every honest hearted person) make it to that point in time to find out.

My thoughts are: God is a myth. And the believers of that myth are rapidly destroying the viability of the Earth as a habitable planet by mindlessly consuming because they believe their god will save them before it becomes too toxic to live here.

Sir I disagree, your question is not dumb.
It has never been discussed in these so called organized religions because Yahweh withholds the understanding from those who will not humble themselves and be taught by the teacher he sends. (not speaking of myself)
Isa 45:18 ¶ For thus saith Yahweh that created the HEAVENS; Yahweh himself that formed the earth and made them; he hath established them, he created them not in vain, he formed them to be inhabited: I am Yahweh; and there is none else.
Isa 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
After this earth is cleaned from the near total destruction and it is totally populated and then under the guidance of Yahweh, we will soon outgrow this planet. We will then go out to other planets and set up colonies there and we will also be sent out to those planets to teach the inhabitants Yahweh's peaceful solution because they are suffering under oppression just like we are now but under worst conditions.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation groans for the of the revealing of the sons of Yahweh.
Rom 8:20 For the creation was made subject to emptiness, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

God will put turf and flowing water on all the planets, including the ones in other solar systems. In our galaxy alone there are a few hundred billion stars, and most of them have planets, so that's a lot of planets.
Then he will do the same for the planets in other galaxies, and the number of galaxies in our general region of the universe is upwards of eight hundred billion, each containing hundreds of billions of stars...
Then he will go on to other regions of the universe. Wow!
Where will he get all the turf and flowing water? Who knows.
