get a good file with lots of seeds to begin with ... u need ur firewalls configured and ur ports forwarded on any routers or hardware firewalls ... then i usually limit the number of global connections to somthing more reasonable like 100 ..

It all depends on many factors. The two main factors are your internet speed and the tracker you are downloading from. Those also happen to be the two factors mostly under your control. If you have DSL you can download faster by going to cable, if you have cable then go fiber optic via verizon fios. Next the tracker. If you are using a public tracker than downloads are going to be moving at a snails pace. This is because the people on a public tracker don't care about their download ratio (how much they seed back to the community). Most just download and run, which kills download speeds because you get 20 people downloading from one person, not good. You can find a private tracker if you want to improve speed, just google "private torrent tracker".

Hi. The longer you run it the more 'seeds' you will get. More seeds equals more sites to grab from. Faster. Also as you download more units your rating goes up, again more data quicker. Do not pirate though. Bad for everyone.

sometimes the default for a torrent is set on download medium speed I personally use Bittorrent because its simple and its what i know so going by bitorrent u have to select high download speed. also remember peak times for america as they and japan give the most seeds. God bless
