I've had a lot of friends and family die in my days, (probably 25 altogether) and I am only 20 years old.... so I would say I have had my share of kissing corpses. I figure since it's the last time I have the chance, to even see them or touch their hands or kiss their forehead, or cheek, I am not passing it up. Nothing is wrong with that... now if you are a Mortician asking this, you are scary

I attended the wake for an elderly neighbor, who was Portuguese. All of his family members kissed him at the wake, as per their custom.
He was the first dead person that I have viewed and I thought just looking at him was enough for me without actual contact.

I kissed my dad and my grandma on the cheek and stroked their forehead many times whilst they were at home for a few days resting before the funeral,and I'm so glad I did.
There's nothing weird about that and quite common for alot of people.

If you have loved that dead person so much, then, giving him or her a goodbye kiss isn't at all bad.

kissed them how? i kissed my husbands forehead when i saw him dead at the hospital as i left and i do believe i kissed his head before they closed the casket.all part of grieving. anything else is something you should get help for.

Yes I kissed my dad at his funeral a month ago. I also kissed my grandpa and two of my great grandpas.
