we all have choices in life; sometimes we make choices that
have a hi-tag ; smoking is one of them ; but you can talk to her until you're blue in the face; if she is not ready she will not hear you.
I buried my friend a couple years ago; she died of lung and brain cancer ; in her last days ,she used to be with her oxygen tank 24/7 smoked till she was no longer able to.
it's so sad, because you want to help your friend ;but there is a limit a friend can actually give a hand. the rest if up to the individual.
there are 600 bad additives to a cigarette; 9 are deadly; acetone, formaldehyde, pesticides, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, methane ,butane, ammonia.
I used to work for a hospital in the business office department; and in handling account for radiation therapy. my observation was, the majority of this patients were smokers or restricted smokers; and soon they did not showed up for treatment ; why? THEY DIED like flies. send this page to your dear friend; we might just save her from such painful and devastating experience.
ex-smoker. God bless you

Well I don't know the stats but I do know from personal exsperaince & watching many friends that the likely hood of it leading to heavy drugs is very high. After a while the pot just dosn't do it for you any more so you try other things. I also know a male friend who would love to have kids but can't because the weed made him sterile because he smoked so much during puberty. The memery loss & depression a long term heavy smoker suffers from are no fun either. It gets that if you don't have a smoke you can't sleep & you get so bored when you are straight. Weeds ok if you don't smoke everyday just 1 or 2 times a month but not everyone can control their use like that. Once you are hooked it can be nearly as bad as any other drug habit, the cravings & mentel turbulance can be unberable for some & the mood swings that come with the withdrawls can be down right dangerous to anyone close to you. Again it isn't this bad for every one who smokes weed but I have seen enough now to know that it is more than common. The other health risks are the same as smoking cigerettes plus if you smoke from a wet bong you can get really bad pulurasy which can make it very painful to breath in. I hope your mate is just exsperimenting & gets away with it with out falling to deep. Don't be too hard on him most people do try it out & hopfully he will move on soon. Just be there for him & encorge him back in the right direction ie sport, drama or what ever you know he has or had a passion for.

My dearest smokers
Yes you are doing very well. You have a good habit. You are spending & burning your own money or savings, no doubt you are on the right path. Who am i & how i can stop you.
But my dear give few seconds to listen my few words.
Just after inhaling a puff of cigrrette exhale it on a thin white cloth. Simply you will see a light stain on it. And continous smoking may cause how much chemical staining and changes to your lungs. Now decide your ownself.
Think for a while if you have your children, too. Can u restrict from smoking morally.

a) There are piles of cigarette butts at every freeway offramp. Cigarette smokers are, by and large, irresponsible gits. We're judged by the company we keep. Everyone seen smoking will be pre-judged an irresponsible git.
b) Cigarettes are the biggest cause of home fires resulting in fatalities. So much so, that cigarettes should be considered a dangerously defective product. It's pretty dumb to buy a defective product, right?
c) "Ignorant" is when you don't know any better. "Stupid" is when you do. Smoking is stupid. Smokers are stupid. We're all stupid about something, but most of us don't show it on our faces five minutes out of ever thirty.
d) That pack-and-a-half habit will end up costing over $1000/year. That money would be better spent on other things, right?
==
The cigarette companies would have us believe that smoking is always a well-reasoned decision made by a rational mature adult. The reality is that it's a decision made by a stupid kid, or by an already-addicted adult. If your "friend" is defending smoking, kick her to the curb. You need new friends. Don't hang around people who are visibly stupid gits.

1. It's extremely unhealthy. Smoking puts a person at risk for almost every single health problem you can get: kidney failure/disease, many different types of cancer, heart problems, stroke, blindness, and thyroid disease just to name a few of the major ones.
2. It's just plain disgusting. I hate to be around people who smoke, it hurts my chest, makes it hard to breathe and it really smells nasty. Smokers smell like smoke 24/7 even when they're not smoking, and everything that they own/come in contact with stinks.
3. If I smoked, non-smokers would think I was disgusting and look down on me.
4. Cigarettes cost a lot of extra money each month.
5. If she has kids or is planning to, they will most likely smoke someday too, or, suffer from second-hand smoke.
6. It's bad for pets and houseplants too.
7. It makes you have lots of wrinkles and look really old.
8. Smoking makes you look, smell, and feel bad. More energy if you don't smoke.
9. Everything tastes like smoke to smokers, and it makes their teeth nasty and their breath smell terrible.
10. Cigarettes actually contain formaldehyde, cyanide, and nicotine, all common ingredients found in insecticides that are very deadly to humans too.
11. I wouldn't want to walk around coughing, wheezing, and secretly having to sneak outside to smoke. Smoking just isn't cool.
12. No more holes accidently burned in clothes.
13. It's allowing something to control your life. I wouldnt want to be a slave to nicotine, always having to take a smoke and stuff. I like to make my own decisions in life.
14. Every cigarette you smoke takes 8 minutes off your life. I don't know about you, but I'd like to live a happy, long life.
Those are just a few reasons I came up with, good luck helping her quit.

Polluting the earth is a good reason, but here are my reasons...
1. It will rapidly age your skin, organs and overall health.
2. It makes your teeth yellow and breath smell disgusting.
3. We non-smokers are forced to breath in your toxic air and will quite possibly die before you do of second-hand smoke.
4. It will turn your lungs black...can cause cancer in many parts of your body.
5. It's very expensive! Add up the expense and multiply that times whatever she smokes per day, then keep going...per week, per month, per year...let her see what she could buy instead of cancer sticks!
6. The trees are not on this earth to absorb the toxic fumes. They are here to produce oxygen...if someone is polluting the oxygen they produce, they are pointless!
7. OH! By the way...it looks massively unattractive to see someone sucking on one of those things.
8. Okay one more...you smell bad, and it's difficult to get that smell out of your clothing. I have been next to someone (in a restaurant) that wasn't actively smoking and they smelled so bad, we asked to be moved to another table.
Need more?

Smoking dulls your senses. It dries out your internal organs and causes your
hair, skin, and nails to become weak, dry, brittle and course.
Don't plan on being a singer if you smoke because it ruins your vocal chords. Smoking makes womens voices more manly.
In fact women who smoke, are more likely to develope male hormones. This means they will have deeper voices, and grow more hairs on their chin.
If you want to be a beautiful woman, with soft skin, thick shiny hair, a beautiful voice and healthy lungs, then Don't smoke!!
If you want to get old fast and be coughing all the time, and be prone to disease, then Smoke!
But don't smoke by me! I am a singer! Second hand smoke is more dangerous than first hand!

Ok, first of all I was a smoker for 12 years (I've been smoke free for 8 months). You cannot convince your friend to stop smoking regardless of how many valid reasons you bring to her attention. Whether she admits it or not she knows all of the reasons that she shouldn't smoke. Nicotine is a drug and like all drugs that you are addicted to you will continue to do it regardless of the risks. It took me 12 years of knowing that I was killing myself before I finally decided that it was time to quit. And to be completely honest with you, the more people told me to quit the more I wanted to do it. That's what drug addictions do to you. My advice is to not say anything about your friends habit and wait for her to quit for herself when she is ready...even if it's 10 years from now. Good luck!

1. smoking causes wrinkles, pimples, and prematurely ages your skin. If she wants to look 45 when she's 28, go for it!
2. Smoking is very expensive. Take the cost of a pack of smokes, multiply that by # of packs smoked in a month--I bet it'd buy her a reallllly nice designer purse. A REAL one!
3. Guys dont like swapping spit with nasty smoke-bag breath.
4. Hot guys = athletes = men who don't smoke. Repeat # 3.
And finally....
5. People that smoke and blow it in my direction are at risk for a major smack down. I mean it, I'll cut ya!

Well there are a million reasons not to smoke...starting with your own health for one thing, blackening your lungs, cancers not only lung but pretty much any cancer out there you are increasing your chance of catching one of them, you stink of stale smoke daily, teeth get stained and your fingers get nicotine stains, wasting money to make some non smoking ceo of the tobacco companies richer and richer, it ages your body and skin, you will get wrinkles faster and look older than you are quicker, other people who don't smoke will not want to be around you to get the second hand smoke your letting off, they don't smoke cause they don't want cancer and some smoker is smoking and it's blowing in the non smokers clean air...environmental issues is yes it polutes the air, the butts lots of times get dropped on the ground and that is litter and looks nasty, lots of forest fires have started from butts being thrown from car windows...killing the trees that she is so sure are there for her smoking! Basically infringing on non smokers right to breathe healthy clean air when a smoker goes out and lights up in public right in front of a store entrance ect....there are so many reasons not to light up, it doesn't look cool, it's pretty darn stupid..why suck the life out of your body and polute the air and make some richer tobacco guy richer while you have to keep shelling out money for cancer sticks?
