Do you think that God would be a very nice God if He left us with NO information about Himself? Thats absurd. He has left us an entire book showing His dealings with mankind thru History, as well as outlining what He Himself is like.

Why havent YOU taken the time to read it?

We may be inferior, but God created us to have fellowship with Him. That would be really ridiculous if He doesnt want to be KNOWN...HE DOES, and HE tells us that any person can know Him on a personal basis. He lays out the criteria, and all you have to do is BELIEVE that He came to earth to live and die for YOUR sins, to be buried to put your sins out of Gods sight forever, and was RAISED from the dead to prove that God accepted the sacrifice and reconciled you to himself.

Thats GOOD news...that means that even tho I am inferior, God loves me enough to have done something to INSURE that I could know Him...if I only take Him at His WORD.

Describe the taste of salt But do not use the word salt. the trancendent is just that it trancends all human thought . The only tool we have to descibe it is metaphor. Metaphor is limeted by local folk images and langauge. that is why any literal interpretaion of any bible is insane and fanatical
Terrorists are always fundementalists.
We cant. But we know what it feels like
When the purpose of a religion is lost that is to say when the religion no longer helps the worshiper become closer to God. When the metaphor is old and obsolete . It becomes Law and history. That when people start killing each other..

Yes, humans are inferior to God. But the awesome thing about Him is that He loves us so much, that He took the time to give simple men (none holy, but most lower than dirt) the vision to hear from Him and give a "love letter" to us, His beloved! Read into the Bible, for it really is a glimpse into the personage of Almighty God. Please try the King James Version, as it presents the majesty and love of God very clearly.

You are correct that we are infinitely inferior to him and so if he never chose to make himself known to us you are right that it would be impossible for us to know him or his will. But that is not the case. God chose to reveal himself to his creation, long ago, when he first created it and later he chose Abraham (at that time called Abram) to be the father of God's chosen people, and many many times throughout history to his people. In fact, I believe that God has revealed himself to others as well, though not documented in scripture, because he is a loving God and he wants humans to understand him. But so often people do not follow him.

Yes, man is indeed inferior to a Holy and Perfect God, however, the bible is clear that it was, is, and forever, will be His purpose to allow man to aware of Him and know Him personally.

Look at Adam and Eve, Job, Moses, The Apostles in the NT and the many others who saw Jesus His Son. The bible says that God walked with Adam and Eve, as well as, Job in the cool of the day. He fellowshipped with them. In the NT and the New Covenant in Christ we know God through His Son Jesus Christ and through His Word the Bible. God also left His Holy Spirit to comfort us and abide with us as He is now in Heaven.

The very mission and purpose of Jesus Christ was to be seen as God reducing himself to man...The God Man in the person of Christ. Born of a virgin women who conceived the seed of the Holy Spirit and bore the God Man, Christ! Jesus was raised and lived for 30 years as a man and then showed Himself as the God Man and completed His mission in dying & resurecting for all who would believe in Him and His sacrafice on the cross. God has made it clear that He is indeed greater than man but is ever wanting to have a relationship with us through His Son.

Big thing called "The Bible".

Besides, by telling us that we are "infinitely inferior", you know something about a God, that according to you, doesn't exist.
Hmmmm?

The original name for him/her/it in pre Abrahamic times was En Sof, the unknowable, the unobtainable. We cannot ever know the reality of God, it is far beyond our meagre comprehension.
We can only washup (sorry, worship) him/her/it.
