Once in awhile my car simply slips out of gear when in high. Usually this is after driving, and bringing the engine and transmission to full temperature. It does not happen often and, when placed back into high, stays there. Only a once in awhile thing. Anyone know what the deal is?

wow. last guy needs to be hooked on phonics.

you have a bad synchro. remember when it used to grind into high gear? maybe it still does. this is usually a sign that the synchro is going out.

If it happens in low gear, it's a sign of a worn gearbox. Dunno about high gear though.
