There is a 23 years old girl, who is into a mental illness but we both dont know wut it is. Im sure that she needs to visit a doctor, but I want to know your opinions.
She thinks about everything very bad, like she says everytime i lie on my bed, i think the roof would come down to my face and I will die. Or she says, that she feels, she has cancer and she will die soon. She says that she cant sleep at nights because she thinks an earthquake will happen and she will die. Or every midnight she calls her mom, and asks her to see if her dady is breathing or not!!! and mostly she starts crying because she is afraid of all those thing and hundrads of other imaginations. what do you think? wut is this? wut kind of illness is this? please help ppl, i cant see her suffering...

She needs to go to a good doctor, for an evaluation..you have said a few things here, and she sounds paranoid, and also kind of sadistic...she also has a vivid imagination, and maybe some abuse in her childhood of course, would cause this kind of behavior..please, call a mental hospital, and ask them what to do...if she is a threat to herself, or to you or others, you could have her picked up for a three day observation..good luck

Basically she has a general fear of death. Her problem would probably be a form of anxiety disorder but it would be hard to determine exactly which form of anxiety that it actually is without knowing about her past and what kinds of physical symptoms she has when she gets like this. Has she or someone she loves ever been placed in a life threatening situation? If the answer to that question is yes, then she probably has PTSD. When did her fear of death start? Is she on any medication? Medication interactions can sometimes cause people to behave differently. She needs to see a doctor ASAP and be patient because it might take awhile before they can correctly diagnose her. If ignored, anxiety can become much worse and it is not a great way to live. I have had PTSD for 2 years now and it really does take a toll on a person. I hope that she can get the help that she needs because no one should have to live this way.

I suffer from anxiety disorders and mild depression but again I am no expert on the subject. Here are my thoughts though.

Your friend may have panic disorder as well as some phobias.

Encourage her to contact a mental health center in your area and set up for a consultation with a psychiatrist to investigate why she may have these kind of thoughts and if this is something that can be treated with medication and counseling.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

sounds like a mix of anxiety and depression. When I am very depressed I get scared of my parents dying, and the thought can be terrifying. Luckily I am not depressed anymore, but what she is showing needs attention from someone or she may end up killing herself to deal with her painful mental state.

Also it does sound like there are some elements of psychoticness in there i.e. schizophrenia. I cannot say for sure but if she is out of touch with reality then its definitely serious. A friend of a friend suffered schizophrenia and he used to call ambulances becuase he would wake up and think he had cancer. Its as if the imagination has become their reality.
i cant say for sure that it is schizophrenia but it is a possibility, even if its only mild thought distortions. Does she believe things with no basis as if her imagination rules her life?

Get online and google NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) and look up anxiety disorders. They are really common, lots of people have them and can get better. Good luck.
