if a dog has attacked a lot of people isnt it supossed to be put down? my grandpa was attacked by one this weekend that has attacked before and the owners did nothing about it. it even angered me that they would bring it to a party where there were kids playing! my 9 month old had played with it hours before the attack! the owner told everyone after it happened that it had done it before and even killed 2 of their cats! souldnt it be reported and be forced to put it down before it does it again?

my grandpa went to the emergency room directly after and they said that the dog almost bit the entire way through his cheek! my aunt works at the same hospital and said that by law they have to file a complaint about the dog, however if this were true the dog shouldnt still be around after the first few times it did it. it did it to the previous owners too. thats why it has new owners!

YOu should deffinatley report this dog, if the dog has made attacks and drawn blood from the animals/people and still attacks, he is probably getting addicted to the taste of blood, this is a very huge problem, it could do more serious injuries to children because they are tiny and helpless against a dog attack.. this dog must be reported before this happens again

you should get the wounds from the dog attack checked for a chance of rabies, and trust me the treatment for rabies is not fun at all(they stick a half and inch thick needle through your chest, not fun at all)

hope your grandpa is ok

Bye

Usually, they only HAVE to be put down if they have a court order after an evaluation. It would be a responsible thing for the owners to do it since the dog is dangerous.

If your concerned and not a minor, report it to the local authorities or talk to your grandpa about pressing charges.

They are supposed to quarantine the dog after the attack for I believe a minimum of 10 days. He'll need to make sure the police was contacted by this, and make sure that they know that the dog has done this before. It's obviously a dangerous animal. Personally, I probably would have shot it. Best of luck to you.

No, the dog shouldn't be put to sleep, but the owners should be held responsible for their neglect. They have a dog who they know to have been aggressive towards people and animals in the past, and should know how to properly deal with this kind of dog.

Call animal control or the police immediately and have the wounds checked and cleaned by a doctor... rabies is no laughing matter !!
