i have a silver colored GE remote. i dont think its new in fact it may be about 1-3 years old. just recently i tried to turn on my tv but every time i press the POWER button it flashes once and stays on for about 5-6 seconds. iv tried reprogramming it to its code but continues to do the same. i live out in the country so dont have easy access to a Superstore. and my tv's POWER button got pushed out. i really need some help with my remote.

If you will put the tv model # and the remote model # in your question, I will verify everything for you (ie programing codes and how to set up your remote) and get info back to you. What that light staying on for 5-6 seconds is telling you is that the remote is looking for a valid code that the remote recognizes.

say i could help you out even more if i had the name of the ge remote name in in the number that are were your battery are just take off the bake were the battery are look at it in then go to the inter net in put in www.geremote.com in some thing should come up so there you go i hope this helped you out
