Go Brisbane - St Lucia (University of Queensland) is awesome. Any of the colleges there are great. Probably International House is one of the better ones if you are from overseas. Nice friendly city. Close to Gold Coast, Noosa, only a few hours on a bus to Hervey Bay and the Great Barrier Reef. Can get to some outback towns in 5-6 hours if you want that experience. Toowoomba is a country town only an hour or so away which gives a real Australian feel with out too much travel. You can get work (depending on your visa) in nearby farming areas (if you are into that) only a few hours away and then you can spend up big. Come visit the Stanthorpe area a few hours to the south. Great wineries. Have fun.

If you like it tropical - come to Cairns, top end of Queensland.http://www.welcometocairns.com.au
We have a real shortage of blokes here. 5 chicks to a guy between aged 18-28!

Have a great University here, James Cook University
http://www.jcu.edu.au/ - plenty of student accommodation and heaps to do always around town.

Cairns has an international airport so you can fly straight in from other countrys.

This site will also be habdy for you
Step-by-step guides to procedures and paperwork
http://www.justlanded.com/english/australia is a great guide that explains things in plain English, applying for visas, working or as an international student etc…

What do you want to study? What are your interests? Are you talking about study at a University or a College of Technical and Further Education (TAFE)? Australia's education system is different from the USA.

If you want to find out about Australia's Universities, a good place to start is here:http://www.australian-universities.com

I def. recommend it, make sure you get an australian visa before you go, they are 20 dollars. Go to Sydney through san fransisco, and make sure you get an early flight, they tend to be less full. Make sure you check out new zealand, the people are very friendly and it is a beautiful country. Beware that flights are about 2400 round trip, and it is 19hours long! So be prepared to spend alot of money to travel, however, once you get there it is actually pretty cheap in the country.

My boyfriend was accepted to the Red Bull Music Academy this time last year and it was in Melbourne. He had a blast!! We are both dj's, so clubs are so neccessary. He said they were the most interesting and cool looking clubs with lots of talent.

As for music interest (where the ladies may be {wink, wink}) I think it would be a great choice. Even to see the aboriginal culture would be someting for everyone to experience in life.

DO IT! DO IT! If you don't, then I'll do it for you :)
