your credit score changes everyday as it is....once with going over a little higher isn't bad, you'll have to pay a fee. just don't be late. and you should only put what you can pay for each month. using up all your available credit is a bad thing on your score as it is

Going over your limit doesn't get reported to the credit bureau. The credit card company just gets to hit you with a fee. Be careful not to do it again or be late, as they will likely change your interest rate to the "default" rate.
However, carry a balance so close to the limit does affect your credit score. A large part of your score is based on the debt to available credit limit ratio. If you use 50%, it trashes your score. Pay the card down below 30%. Better yet, only charge what you can afford to pay in full each month.

I think that your credit limit is listed and then your high balance is listed so if someone scrutinized it they could see you were over your limit.
Even if your score is lowered a bit, if indeed it would be, the next month when you pay that limit back down it will rebound.
Listen to bdancer222 on how to handle credit limits and balances. Sound advice.

Once? No. Often? YES.
Just make a payment ASAP - preferably before the due date.

Not if you have only done it once. Just be sure and make a payment ASAP.
